Chester Horse Racing Tips 9th May 08
May 9, 2008
Chester racing. Not my favourite but it’s okay. If you want to discuss horse racing betting or add your own betting tips and picks, head over to the racing forum now. The experts will eat you alive. Just kidding. Pop in and say hello and tell them Donald Keys sent you. You’ll be well looked after. Mini sausage rolls too. Thrown at you.
So what have we learned so far? Mondays = bad, Tuesdays = wonderful, Wednesdays = bad, Thursdays = wonderful….. There’s a definite pattern emerging here which doesn’t bode well for poor old Friday as I know for a fact Saturday racing = wonderful. Could be a stinker today. But we don’t want to give you that! No. Somehow we have to make Friday like Tuesday and Thursday and I have an idea. As of now, Friday shall be known as, ‘Fruesurthday’. Thank f***k it’s Fruesurthday! Feel better now? Me either. Let’s crack on.
1.45 I’m willing to try Joseph Henry and it’s quite popular with the lesser tipsters too. I hate that. 11/2 @ bluesq - I’m also slightly interested in Russki e/w currently 10/1 with ladbrokes and 13.5 @ betfair and here’s one of the reasons why, from Racing Post: “Highly regarded by trainer who considers turning track and fast ground ideal for him” - hopefully he’s not talking about go kart racing otherwise we’re in bother.
2.15 Unnefer looks interesting @ 11/2 with me old pal Betfred - a few things to like about it including just the right number of legs. I think it’ll be close. Possibly closer to last than first but come on, let’s stay positive. It’s Fruesurthday.
2.45 Tight one. I love them tight. Templestern 10.5 @ betfair at the moment and it’s not the worst e/w shout I’ve ever seen. Not the best either. I’ve taken a little liking to Carte Diamond too. 18.00 @ betfair and I’m hopeful with him. Is my hunchuition ever wrong? Sshhh.
3.15 Mey Blossom is crying out to be loved by Donald Keys and his powerful hunch @ 8/1 with bet fred and bluesq or 9.6 @ betfair as is Hadaf @ 15/2 bluesq and 8.6 betfair - both have alot going for them including super sweet draws. If one of them doesn’t win then I’ll….. I’ll….. ignore this completely and point you towards all the winners from Tuesday and Thursday. Does that make me a bad man or just….. a man?
4.00 Toss up time. Throw your coins up in the air and wave them about like you just don’t care. I’m torn between Miss Brown To You and Lindelaan but will try the former. Last time I did this the other one placed at big odds but I’m confident of getting it right this time. Or maybe just less wrong. Miss Brown To You is currrently @ 6/1 with Betfred. Balls. I know Lindelaan (5/1 betfred or 6.8 betfair ) will win now so I’m taking them both. They can’t both let me down? Horses love to please the Keys man. Believe. Believe that neither will win or place. You know that makes more sense.
4.35 Apparently only a fool would back against Stretton here so that’s just what I’ll do. Did you gulp? Oh, it was me. I’m looking at taking a chance with Inspirina to place but the ground might be a problem. Unfortunately, until horses can hover, the ground plays a pretty big part. It’s @ 16/1 with betfred or 18.00 @ betfair and I think it may just about be capable. Worth a small gamble. As is Ainama @ 13/2 sportingbet and 7.4 betfair - one of those where I can’t see many negatives screaming at me so as long as it’s alive it has a chance. You know that by now.
And that concludes our picks for Chester racing. Just keep telling yourself…. it’s not Friday. It’s Fruesurthday. A day that’s less crap than Monday. I’ve been Donald Keys and this has been Donald Keys’ donkeys. Don’t forget your Keys!
Oh, and it would be nice if you added your own racing tips in the forum too. Obviously bettering this old pro is almost or actually impossible but I’ll pop by and applaud any winners. I love to patronise.
