Re: LDV Trophy 20th Dec

Its kinda like the world cup trophy mick but in silver. Looks ok

The LDV trophy is a cup competition for teams in the lower divisions of the English Football League. Although "Football League Trophy" is its official name, it has been known by a variety of other names, mainly due to different sponsorships.
Since its introduction in 1983 the football league trophy has been used to experiment new rules which were at the time new to English football. An example of this is the introduction of the golden goal extra time rule which was introduced in 1994/95 final between Birmingham City and Carlisle United.

The characteristic feature of the competition's structure is that the competing teams are divided into two area groups, North and South. The two areas conduct parallel competitions to find area winners, who then meet in the national final.
