Rangers -1.5 is at 2.10 and that looks a little overpriced to me. It may be a reaction to their inability to run up decent scorelines in their last two, beating Motherwell by one, and a draw with Du, but both those matches could have been cricket scores, and certainly regarding the United match it was more down to defenders being in the right place at the right time rather than poor finishing from the Rangers forwards. With Boyd back too they should take their chances a little better from now on.
Team news also looks good for Rangers(see below.)
However, the H2Hs show that Rangers haven't won by 2 at East End for 7 meetings. That does include far better Pars sides than this one, and far poorer Rangers sides than this(last season) so I think I'll sleep on it for now.
Quote:
Dunfermline Athletic will be without winger Freddie Daquin for the visit by Rangers with a fractured cheekbone.
Darren Young, Scott Thomson, Noel Whelan and Jim McIntyre are still out, while Mark Burchill, Phil McGuire and Greg Shields face late fitness tests.
But Andy Tod, who can play in defence of up front, returns from suspension. New Rangers loan signing from Manchester United Lee Martin could start wide on the left, but midfielder Barry Ferguson is still ruled out.
