Re: Non League 21 - 22nd Aug
Dorchester Town to beat Eastleigh @ 2.5 Tuesday.
That's a fantastic price on the home side there. If we were to take Dorchester's last season's home form and Eastleigh's expectations for the coming season we might arrive at a price like that.
However, new Dorchester manager Mick Jenkins has overhauled the squad and until yesteray's 3-0 reverse at Histon was rewarded with a couple of decent results, 4-1 at home to Farnborough and a 1-0 win at Weston. A pre-season 2-1 victory over Bournemouth also had the locals enthusing as to have much the Magpies have progressed.
Opponents Eastleigh were fancied in many quarters to have a good go at this league. Like Dorchester Eastliegh suffered their first deferat of their season going down 3-1 to Welling. Eastleigh signed ex Southampton pair Banali and Dodd over the summer and some fans are wondering if this was purely for commercial reasons as they don't look match fit.
Eastleigh have had a striker crises of late with a number of strikers injured leaving them down to only or two recognised ones available. One who is definitely recognisable (unfortunately for Dorch) is goal-maching Andy Forbes. 19 in this league last season and several hundred to his name lower down the NL pyramid. He is currently comig back from injury and played no part in yesterday's defeat. It looks doubtful whether he'll be included in the squad for this game.
I would've expected a prixe for Dorchester in this game of around 2.2 so for me I'll be having 2 points on he 2.5.
