Re: Scotland This Week

Superb Beanie

Jeez, them goals take me back. I remember them all vividly from the Masson penalty at Anfield in 1977 onwards, my first Scotland game I can really remember watching. Shame they haven't got King Kenny's 2nd that night, a great header and you see the whole Kop end exploding as it hits the net. Dalglish tells a great story about how he was at Liverpool and the Welsh player Joey Jones was telling him that I think it was a home game for Wales but they played it at Anfield to get the bigger crowd. He expected to run out and see loads of Welsh but when they got on the pitch it was just Scottish everywhere

Was at the England game in 85 when Goughie scored the winner. First ever Scotland game was 84 when we pissed on Spain 3-1 at Hampden, Dalglish 2 and MoJo, what a night, 74,000 there.

Aye. Off tomorrow, bus leaves 9.30, just so that we ensure we get to the game on time

Hampden will be bouncing tomorrow, Flower of Scotland before hand, hopefully still in it at HT and some 500 Miles and the Loch Lomond and hopefully we will be hearing I'm On My Way at the end, especially "sitting on top of the world".

Wi my punting head on I don't really fancy us but as you said, Italy, Germany and Holland haven't won here in recent times and if you got me at 4.30 tomorrow I would be saying 2 or 3-0 us!

Cannae wait now, GER INTAE THEM!!!
