Re: CC League One: 3rd/4th Nov

Is Shaw still injured for you? Good news for us if he is, as he's a Gills old boy, and usually seems to do well against us whenever he comes back to Priestfield.

I fancy us to nick this one, to be honest, we've won 4 of our last 5 home games, the only side to beat us in that run was Forest. We've also won our last 4 at home to Chesterfield.

I was at our game v Carlisle last weekend (my first Gills game in around 2 years ), and we looked comfortable throughout really, although Carlisle were poor. Even when they dominated possession at the start of the second half, they never particularly threatened us, and our defence (which I've spent all season cursing while listening to radio commentary on our games) actually looked pretty solid. Kelvin Jack (T&T international) was back in goal for the first time in a couple of months, and made a couple of decent saves on the rare occasions he was called into action, and Cox and Johnson both played well in the central defence, possibly motivated by the fact that their places are under threat now Brent Sancho is close to a return. All of which lead to our first clean sheet of the season. Ben Chorley also made his debut for us, and looks like he could be a very useful signing. Bentley's come into form for us after a slow start, and few teams in this division have shown any idea of how to stop Matty Jarvis.

Unders might not be a bad bet either. 10 of the last 12 between the two sides at Priestfield have been unders. I'll let Jbgb tell you all the score of the previous game prior to those 12 . 1.95 available from Bet365 for that. That's probably taking into account this season's stats I guess, where Gills' 16 games have seen 53 goals, with 45 goals in Chesterfield's 16 games. Maybe not such a good bet after all.
