This story has been doing the rounds for around 7 years now. Every transfer window since the year dot, we seem to be linked with this Ayala chap. Now apparently he is out of favour at Valencia and available on loan. Its a done deal by all accounts.

Anyone know if he is still any good? Must be the wrong side of 30 by now surely? Seems to have been around for years.... I remember he was a decent enough player on Championship Manager 2 - but how is he these days in real life?

Hmmmmm - well if he's half as good as Mauricio Pelegrino, we're on to a winner.
