Eh. ignore that last sentence as I meant T.I.'s
King which is a good saver bet at 15/4 but I'm gonna stick to my Ludacris bet.
Game Theory is the album from The Roots.
I think the folks at
bwin have overpriced a couple of markets specifically Album of the Year and Best R'n'B Album.
Album of the Year will either go to Red Hot Chili Peppers'
Stadium Arcadium or the Dixie Chicks'
Taking The Long Way. Some pundits are split but the offshore books make Dixie Chicks the favourite whilst
bwin make RHCP the favourite.
Gnarls Barkley's
St Elsewhere is a solid bet at 4/5 to win Best Alternative Music Album but I'm just gonna stick £25 at 12/5 that Dixie Chicks win Album of the Year. I'd place a saver bet and get the 2/1+ that's available over at
The Greek on RHCP but I'm gonna chance it.
OT: Dixie Chicks cut into 11/10 to win Best Country Album. They're heavy odds-on at offshore books! What do
bwin know that the offshore books don't!?
Mary J Blige is expected to get at least five of the 8 awards she's nominated for and she should easily get Best R'n'B Album for
The Breakthrough.
bwin allowing me a maximum of £50 at 29/20 to find out if I'm right.
Best Pop Vocal Album's very interesting. Some murmurs that John Mayer's
Continuum could win ahead of the likely winner Justin Timberlake's
FutureSex/LoveSounds. I don't really care even at 6/1 as I'm happy with my four bets...three of the four should be long odds-on shots yet I can get them at marginal odds-against? The fun begins when I try to cash out!
OT: Corinne Bailey Rae has been suggested as the surprise winner for Best New Artist ahead of Carrie Underwood and James Blunt with some folks getting 4/1+ that she'll do it.
OOOH!!
It's going to be a lousy way to end the weekend if I don't win any of my Grammy bets.
I have a couple of BAFTA bets but I didn't state 'em on here so they don't count.
