I've just finished off watching the highlights of the 2nd NZ win over Australia at Eden Park, & filled in the gaps that I missed when I dozed off earlier.
I have to say that that is the worst bowling attack I've seen Australia put out in an international match. The number of full tosses was unbelievable, & when it bounced they sprayed it all over the place & bowled both sides of the wicket. I feel sorry for Mike Hussey....Jesus Christ wouldnt know how to set a field for the way they bowled today
He set Cameron White a leg side field so he just had a close ring on the off, saving one.....& he bowls 3 full tosses on the trot outside off to Taylor who was on about 80 at the time
Theres nothing that can be said to defend that, its just shit bowling
Right, first thing is that Whites not in the squad, but Bracken, McGrath, Watson, Tait & Hogg all are. Bracken seemed to do better than the rest & McGrath, although he seems to be fading fast, has too much nous to just get smashed every game. Watson picked up 3 wickets but 2 were full tosses & 1 was a big top edge & I keep saying it but all hes got is a change of pace & nothing else....hes cannon fodder & he can only be being picked because the selectors believe their own hype & truly believe theyre untouchable
Yes they have Lee to come back & replace Tait, who is never a one day bowler in a month of sundays, & that will help, but by his own admission hes only 50/50 to make it which means that this attack, minus White, could be starting in the WC.
That is not the bowling attack of world champions
