Re: www.help2bet.net

OK first bets in a while A couple of football season bets. Below is the email I just sent out.

Greetings from Help2Bet.net . Here are two early football bets for the upcoming season.

Recommended bets:

6pts Manchester United to beat Liverpool - Season Head to Head To finish highest @ 1.45 Canbet
1.28 Betinternet

5pts Reading to beat Hull – Season match bet (The Championship)
@ 1.83 Blue Square

As usual, the best 3 prices at the time of writing are quoted (unless otherwise stated). Links to all of these bookmakers can be found at the www.help2bet.net homepage. Any further questions or comments you may have regarding these bets can be e-mailed to support@help2bet.net . We will try our best to answer any queries before kick-off. For any new members, the staking plan uses a scale of 0-20 points, with 20 being a (rarely advised) maximum bet. We recommend a starting bank of around 200 points.

Premiership 2005/06
An early bet worth taking is Manchester United to finish above Liverpool. Only a couple of bookmakers are offering this, with Canbet having far and away the highest odds. It would seem to be a good bet at all the way down to around 1.15, but 1.45 is a price not to be missed. Liverpool have made a lot of changes again this season, and players will take time to settle, especially those brought in from abroad. Manchester United finished 19 points ahead of Liverpool last season, and have a very settled squad. They have moved to fix their problem goalkeeping position by signing van der Sar, which can only help. Liverpool had big problems with their away form last season, and it just seem extremely unlikely that they will bridge a 19 point gap in one season. Liverpool have much less chance of finishing ahead of Manchester United than these odds indicate.

The Championship 2005/06
Hull and Reading are two similar clubs. They have both fairly recently moved to new stadiums and both have generous chairmen who have helped fund their clubs in recent years. This is where the similarity ends though. Hull have been promoted in successive seasons and still base a lot of their squad on players who were playing two divisions lower just two seasons ago. They have signed a few new players for this season, but none of whom will frighten teams at this level. Reading are a very well established club at this level and have just spent £1 million on Lita, a potentially very good player. Reading also may be prepared to spend big again, after they just missed out on the play-offs last season. Hull are pretty unlikely to get relegated this season, but it is also pretty unlikely that they will be challenging the top six. They do not deserve to be joint favourites in this season bet market with Reading. Reading have to be the bet.

Summary: These are the first bets in several weeks. Possible bets have been considered over the past few weeks, but none were worth taking. These football season bets need to be placed as soon as possible to avoid missing out on the best odds. The Manchester United one especially will see the odds tumble very quickly if a lot of people start betting on it as it is only being offered by two bookmakers. The Canbet odds are the only ones really worth taking, and they may react quickly if they start taking a lot of bets on it. The other bet probably will not see the odds fall quite so fast, but again there is no guarantee that these odds will be available in 24 hours. This is always a problem with special bets only offered by one or two bookmakers, but these are good bets so they have to be advised. Please ensure you move quickly if you intend to place them.

There will probably more bets over the next couple of weeks before the Scottish football season starts, so please check your email.

Best of luck with any bets you decide to place,
