Re: BBC Sports Personality of the Year - 2007
I think you can dismiss anyone associated with an english team sport as the english football team has no chance of winning anything (even matches sometimes) the cricket side need a miracle to win the world cup and not even derren brown could convince me that the rugby union side will do anything.
That's the first part the second part is to assess what they need do to win.
Murray needs to win a major or at least have a big big wimbledon and lose to federer in the final, hamilton is hard to dismiss but he won't win f1 and might be good value for young sportsstar if they do that. Rose would need to win a major, calazghe clearly needs to walk on the moon as he does not yet have it. Same for Hatton, radcliffe seems unlikely. I think khan seems good value at 20/1 he's popular, on terrestial tv, and if he can get himself a world title shot by the end of the year this could be his year. worth keeping an eye on his price and his opponents list.
