Barnsley v Swindon
Barnsley boss Andy Ritchie must choose between goalkeepers Nick Colgan and Scott Flinders. Richard Kell (broken leg), Brian Howard (broken ankle) and Bobby Hassell (ankle) are all out, while Paul Reid is still struggling with a thigh strain. Swindon's Stefani Miglioranzi is doubtful with an ankle injury. Boss Andy King is also waiting on the fitness of Rhys Evans and Christian Roberts, while striker Rory Fallon is still suspended from last season.
Blackpool v Chesterfield
Blackpool defender Gareth Evans is out with a knee injury but summer signings Rory Prendergast and John Doolan are in line to make their debuts. Scott Vernon should also make his first start since joining from Oldham following a loan spell at Bloomfield Road last season. Chesterfield midfielder Derek Niven is a serious doubt with a back injury which has kept him out of pre -season. Defender Alan O'Hare is suffering from an ankle knock but should be fit.
Brentford v Scunthorpe
Brentford skipper Ricky Newman has a knee injury that is likely to keep him out of the early part of the campaign. However, five other summer signings - Sam Tillen, Oli Skulason, Paul Brooker, Lloyd Owusu and DJ Campbell - could all make their debuts. Scunthorpe team news to follow later.
Bristol City v Doncaster
Bristol City boss Brian Tinnion has the luxury of a full-strength squad to choose from, with all his summer signings in contention. Marcus Stewart, Alex Russell, Grant Smith, Matt Heywood, Michael Bridges and Richard Keogh all hope to start. Doncaster are without injured goalkeeper Jan Budtz and suspended midfielder Ricky Ravenhill. Andy Warrington will start between the posts, while Rovers boss Dave Penney has no other injuries or suspensions
Gillingham v Colchester
Gillingham will be without summer signing Tom Williams (ankle) and goalkeeper Tony Bullock (foot). Steve Banks (thigh) and Alan Pouton (knee) are doubts but Danny Spiller (ankle) is fit and Matthew Jarvis and Darius Henderson are hopeful. Colchester team news to follow later
Hartlepool v Bradford
Hartlepool will be without striker Joel Porter and captain Micky Barron, who are recovering from knee operations. Mark Tinkler is approaching full fitness but not quite ready to play, while long-term absentee James Brown requires reconstructive knee surgery. Bradford's Lewis Emanuel (groin) and Danny Forrest (foot) are the only injury concerns for manager Colin Todd. MK Dons v Bournemouth
MK Dons manager Danny Wilson will be without midfielder Alex Tapp and striker Clive Platt. But Gareth Edds (foot), Wade Small (thigh) and goalkeeper David Martin (thigh) have all shaken off injuries. Bournemouth will be without defenders Warren Cummings, Stephen Purches, Jason Tindall and Karl Broadhurst, who are all sidelined by injury. However, new signings Stephen Cooke and Josh Gowling are in the squad, along with on-loan Andrew Surman.
Nott'm For v Huddersfield
Nottingham Forest manager Gary Megson should name a near full-strength squad for his side's League One opener. New signing Danny Cullip is in contention but striker Jack Lester is victim of a long-term cruciate ligament injury and Alan Rogers is banned. Oldham v Yeovil
Oldham will be without newly-appointed skipper Chris Swailes, who has chipped a bone in his ankle. Goalkeeper Chris Day could make his debut, while Andy Liddell and Chris Porter are expected to start up front in a new-look Oldham line-up. Yeovil are hoping to get international clearance through for Argentine striker Pablo Bastianini to make his debut. Rotherham v Walsall
Rotherham could hand a debut to keeper Neil Cutler but Michael Keane and Andy Monkhouse are injured. Summer signings David Worrell, Jon Otsemobor, Colin Murdock, Lee Williamson, Deon Burton and Gregor Robertson are all set to play. Walsall's summer signings Steve Staunton and Chris Westwood are both unavailable because of suspension. Ian Roper is set to start on the bench but Paul Smith is unlikely to be risked after being troubled by groin problems
Southend v Port Vale
Southend will be without new signing Shaun Goater, who is not yet fit.
And midfielder Jay Smith will again be forced to watch from the sidelines as he continues his comeback from a long-term ankle injury. Port Vale have almost a full-strength side with Lee Matthews, Jeff Smith looks and Michael Walsh all fit again. Goalkeeper Jonny Brain should also play and Hector Sam and Mickey Bell may make their debuts but midfielder Robin Hulbert is out with a broken foot.
Swansea v Tranmere
Newly-promoted Swansea are without suspended midfielder Andy Robinson and injured Striker Lee Thorpe. But Swansea have no other injury or suspension concerns and new signings Adebayo Akinfenwa and Owain Tudor-Jones are both in line to make their debuts. Tranmere manager Brian Little has minor doubts over skipper Jason McAteer and defender Ian Goodison. Midfielder Theodore Whitmore is out but Chris Greenacre and Sam Aiston could make their Rovers debuts.
