Radio Fremantle World Football Programme kicks in again this Saturday 19th August.Your local football programme joins you once again Saturdays 10-11am right through the A-League season to the English FA Cup Final Saturday May 19, 2007.

Former Host Martyn Wells earns his retirement after more than a decade of presenting the show for Radio Fremantle and the football community. Martyn’s offsider and new World Football Programme Coordinator Penny TannerHoath jumps in with a new team including Tony Carvajal (East Fremantle), Paul Stafford, Andrew Arena (Subiaco), Zane Abrahams (Beckenham) and Ann Odong (women’s). Penny, whose passion is women’s football, will take a break during September and October while looking after shortly expected Rose-Maree.

The new team has a huge field of footballing experience that will explore a changed format this year reflecting the fantastic growth at grass roots level and our recent Socceroo and Matilda’s World Cup successes.

Follow the programme from 10am with junior and local news, semi professional competitions, then 10.15 with A-League and national team news, 10.30 with international news from around the globe and 10.45 ending up in England and Europe. Along the way we will bring you noticeboards, news flashes, competitions and profiles from the men’s and women’s side of the game.
