Re: Singapore League (16-20.05.2007)

HOME United-SAF FC
18 May 2007, Friday

On Friday, 18 May 07, the Warriors take on the Protectors of Home United FC in a top-of-the-table clash at the Jalan Besar Stadium. Kick off at 1930 hrs.

With both teams separated at the top of the standings only by goal difference, this match has all the ingredients of a Cup final. At stake are 3 points and the chance to pull ahead at the top of the pack.

The Protectors are in good form and have shown championship quality in their last few matches. However, this will be a derby match between the 2 uniformed clubs with more than just 3 points at stake. Clashes between the arch-rivals have always been explosive and Friday night will be no different. With ex-Warriors coach, Vincent Subramaniam, at the helm, the Protectors are a tightly knitted team and, on their day, looked unstoppable.

Richard Bok, however, is quietly confident that his charges can upstage his previous mentor’s side. The Warriors are the defending champions and have the consistency and quality to win this one. It will be hard to separate the 2 top guns and all signs point to an exciting and action-packed encounter at the Jalan Besar Stadium.
