k no probs folks. I'll just make au a FIXED widthn ew default one tonight then and also offer the other themes that folks have mentioned they like. deleted them all and starting again
funny enough it's the moderators column thats kicking things out for most templates. i havent checked to see why extended red doesnt throw it out. I will the now tho
well it is the mod coloum thats throwing things out. The mod column on Extended Red is pretty big and thats why it doesnt affect anything. Prob withthat though is the last thread letter count for the width is set ral low and the last thread is 'breaking' the forum lines. i can fix that. Ok so our prob is now the mod coloum. In the grand scheme of things it has to go. Well that or else being limited to what we can use as a base for default and people always having uneven looking forum index's.
Actually also we would have to comprimise on the amount of space in the Last Post column. A problem we have had since turning on the mod column. I'm gonna have to work wuith something so i'm going for the mod of forum turned off. Maybe it wasnt a great dea all in. No offence meant to folks. I can put the 'modded by' bit on the left if folks want it. I'll leave it with Mickeypaul to discuss it but for now im gonna turn it off an then make the best looking default theme that i can
bah default forum has no posts coloumn. i cant just turn it off on particular themes. Also when i change the size of the 'last post' column it ONLY changes the default (old style) theme and not the other ones. Some would say just give up komp we're quite happy with the old theme but i can't. I refuse to just 'make do' as we've been 'making do' since we opened

dont worry about me folks im just thinking out loud. I'm setting so as the mod column aint showing for now and i will look into other ways to bring it back which there will be. everything is fine with 'last forum' being set at 37 letters (ill recheck default theme though) and the text llenth for forum desc is-

Aye 37 is ok for default (old style) too. I'll speak to slick about putting the POSTS (or threads) coloum back. Right so thats that really. Whats next? errrrr...upload a few more styles for folks, look at the mod column and then start work on a new default one. I aint the cleverest at doing forum themes and it will probably need a bit of Mickey's delicate touch to it. I know i will go to him all proud of my effort and he'll snigger at it and it will dawn on me in time of the madness that was going on whilst i tried to make it
but at least that will be it done.
