Re: Baseball Streaks XXIII: The Final Fight
Well I have updated all the results on my spreadsheet and it does not look too good. The selected bets are well down, and the bets filtered out are doing roughly the same - so not much good really.
The bets on teams on losing streaks are showing profits at all odds, but as this was not the case in my 2 month sample at the end of last season I don't think too much can be read into this. Part of the reason is that early in the season when the Yankees really sucked arse they had a few losing streaks and the odds on their opponents are almost always inflated and so this bumped up the profit there.
Because I use a different staking system on my spreadsheet I have got to convert the results if I was to update them here and I just don't have the time. I really was going to stop at this point as there does not seem to be anything in this approach, but I would like a full seasons worth of data and past experience has shown that the last third of the season is often the most profitable.
So, I will start again with a totally blank slate from tomorrow and a new 100 pt bank and see how it goes - one change is that I will abandon the fixed profit staking as it really does not seem appropriate for baseball in my opinion. This time I will try and keep a running total each day.
