St. Pats - Cork 2.20 - 3.05 - 3.20

Paisley doubt for Pats
July 27, 2007

St Patrick’s Athletic manager John McDonnell has a doubt over central defender Stephen Paisley for Friday night’s crunch clash with Cork City at Richmond Park.
Paisley limped out of Monday night’s scoreless draw with Shamrock Rovers and may not have recovered in time for kick-off tonight.
With fellow centre half Colm Foley also sidelined with a knee ligament injury, McDonnell is likely to select Stephen Brennan and Dave Rogers alongside skipper Darragh Maguire in the back three tonight.
Joseph Ndo is still about a week away from full fitness and striker Gary O’Neill is also out so McDonnell could keep the bulk of the side which met Rovers earlier this week, with Ryan Guy in line to keep his place alongside top scorer Mark Quigley up front.
Cork could be without Fulham-bound Roy O’Donovan, who has been sidelined by a minor hamstring injury in recent days.
And with striker John O’Flynn also ruled out by a similar injury, Denis Behan and Leon McSweeney could start in tandem this evening.
Defender Darragh Ryan and winger Liam Kearney are also fitness concerns for the Leesiders, for whom victory this evening would seriously invigorate their title hopes.

verdict:
A massive game, with Cork needing a win to kick-start their title hopes but it will be tough. away win AH+0.5
