Slightly off topic but ateam that was torn apart by WW2 was Dynamo Kiev which was one of the best teams in Europe at the time before the war split them up. Half starved remnants in 1942 beat a German team in a match reffed by an SS major 5-3. Most of the team ended up in the Concentration camps where 4 died for not throwing the match.
