Re: USPGA (US Tour) Live On Sky

Paddy Power - Horse Racing, Football, Cricket, Golf, Big Brother and more.

Gonna be a little bit controversial and rule out all the Europeans myself. Yep, every last one. They never ever do well in this tournament and despite all the talk of Harringtons British Open win opening the floodgates I'm not convinced.

Obviously Tiger is the man to beat this week, so cunningly I've decided to use the betting without Woods market! Ingenious eh?

That leaves me with Els, Furyk, Mickleson, Singh, Choi, Scott,Goosen, Romero, Clark, Cink, Perry, Di Marco, Verplank, Cabrera,Sabattini, Johnson, Toms, Stricker, Ogilvy, Appleby, Pampling, Immelman, Baadely, Glover, Love and Weir from the players 100/1 or lower.

From the remainder I've picked out Olazabal Rollins Wetterich Kelly Micheel Snedeker all of who have performed well in various PGA events this year. I left out Boo Weekely as with only 2 par 5's on the course and an emphasise on placement rather than power I don't think it'll suit him.

Going back to my original list I've taken out Els, Goosen, Mickleson Scott Clark Cink Toms Ogilvy Appleby Immelman Love and Weir. None of whom I reckon are in great form coming into this event.

So that leaves me with a shortlist of Furyk, Singh, Choi, Romero, Perry, Verplank, Cabrera, Sabbatini, Johnson, Stricker, Glover, Olazabal, Rollins, Wetterich and Kelly.

Furyk is going to be my main hope this weekend and I reckon he has a great chance. He's 2nd in the Driving Accuracy stats and thats important for a tight course like this. He's in magnificent form of late and won the Canadian Open 2 weeks back. He didn't start last week due to a minor injury but is apparently fighting fight again now.

KJ Choi is my 2nd hope and again he's in good form and should give me a run for my money. He's won 2 tournaments in the past month and finished a respectable 7th last weekend in the WGC.

The rest of my shortlist I shall put a few quid on E/W at decent prices. I'll also chance my arm with the Hunter Mahan to be leading after 1st round bet which came up for me last week. 40/1 again this time.

Verdict:
25 Points E/W on Furyk @18/1
15 Points E/W on Choi @25/1
7.50 Points E/W on Singh @20/1, Verplank @45/1, Cabrera@50/1, Sabbatini@50/1, Johnson@50/1
7.50 Points Each on top 10 finish for Stricker@11/2, Glover@8/1, Olazabal@16/1, Rollins@16/1, Wetterich@16/1 and Kelly@12/1.
5 Points on Hunter Mahan to be 1st round leader @40/1
5 Points Petterson to be top European player @28/1
