Well, rightly or wrongly, he will be playing for Oldham. No doubt he'll be barracked with "You're supposed to be in jail" at every ground he goes to.

Cant see anything wrong with Oldham signing him. I have heard various comments in the media that his going back to work (which is what he's doing) is insensitive, because he's in the public eye. If he's served his time & been released - the man has a right to work.

Whether or not 6 years (down to 3) is a sufficient tarrif for ending someone's life is another matter altogether.
