Davis Cup

Russia-Germany
I´ve watched the German Davis cup efforts for a couple of years now and one thing that always impressed me was how the team got the best out of the players they had available. They seem to be a well coordinated team with bags of confidence and great spirit.
Except when Haas is in the team. I have to say that. He does have a decent Davis Cup record, true, but I reckon they could have started without him on this surface and brought almost anyone else in. He looked yesterday like a man wading through rice pudding in his wellies and was soundly spanked by an Andreev who didn´t really have to produce anything special. Besides, the Haas passport might say he´s German but he´s not really, is he? His committment to Germany always looks a tad suspect for my money.

However, I think this German doubles team might produce a surprise this afternoon.
Youhzny\Tursunov- Petzcher\Waske might look lop-sided but at 3,10 I´ll have a small stake on the Deutchers. (just started)

Given 2-1 in favour Germany later today, this tie will probably go to the 5th rubber between Andreev-Kohlschreiber.
Could be interesting.
