What
William Hill said after last week's shock elimination of Gabby Logan at readabet.com:
Punters took a tumble this weekend after 33/1 outsider Gabby Logan was given the boot from Strictly Come Dancing, in what was the most bizarre eviction in reality TV history.
Bookies William Hill did not have a single bet on Gabby getting the boot, a 100% clean up for the bookies.
"Kate Garraway was the very well backed favourite to go but not one person expected Gabby or Penny to get the boot. Viewer like a journey and perhaps Gabby was just too good too early on," said Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
What
William Hill are saying before this week's elimination at readabet.com:
William Hill are starting to see money for Kate Garraway and Kenny Logan to get the boot this week as punters follow the theory that after Saturday's fiasco voters will be keen to judge the contestants on their dancing ability, not their personality!
"There is bound to be a backlash after last weeks freak result and Brucie is expected to reiterate that it is a dance contest at every opportunity. If the decision is based on ability then punters are on the right track backing either Kenny or Kate to go," said Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
Blue Square are one of the few bookies willing to back Kate Garraway surviving though and go a joint industry-best 5/2 on Kate being eliminated this week, and thus become one of the few bookies out there making Kenny Logan the favourite to be booted this week.
...I suppose a few gambles were landed when Kenny outlasted Gabby! Wouldn't it be odd that they were booted off the show one after the other!?
Alesha still heads the outright market.
Blue Square are the industry-worst this time 'round though and fear that Alesha's going to storm this.

Unlucky about the all-female final bet there. You'll most likely need Penny to get on-side with the public ahead of the likes of Matt and Gethin and that seems unlikely.
I suppose some needless aftereventing and some quick calculations meant that if the
BBC put the SCD final against
The X Factor final so the pair will clash on Saturday 15th December means if there's
THREE for the SCD final then that there has to be a double elimination for
Strictly Come Dancing as well!
