Annoyed I didn't have a saver bet on Joe Calzaghe.
I suppose I should have noticed some late odds movement over at
William Hill when they made Joe 5/2 on Sunday afternoon. I suppose the bigger clue was that they had the award out in Las Vegas ready to give to Joe!
I thought the
BBC might have saved this for next year if he beats Bernard Hopkins. I can't imagine him winning it two years in a row but hey, if nobody else does anything next year it'd be hard to deny him the award again.
It's an Olympic year so who knows?
