Sorry Komp, you're just stirring memories of my youth with all this maths stuff. I once did a project all about edge waves in the dim, distant past. They are quite good actually, they run perpendicular to the beach as the tide is coming in parallel to the beach. I think I'll stop there though, if you want to find out more, you know what to do
