Now I know as well as the next man that Stephen Hendry is
absolute fucking drivel these days with a stick in his hand. My faith in him has been shattered time and time again but I'm gonna jump straight back on the hendo band wagon here.
From all accounts Hendry is excellent in practice right now and hungry for another title. I don't know what that counts for when you can't pot a feckin ball but.....
He's got an easy draw at the Welsh Open. Nobody of signifigance till the Quarters where it's fat boy Stephen Lee, or superned Graham Dott. I'd expect him to stuff those two. So at this point he'd have some confidence and be only two matches from the title.
A semi versus either higgins or Ding would seen most likely. Higgins isn't in top form right now, but still bloody good, and I think i good attacking match against Ding would suit hendry.
Then it's the final and i wouldn't bet against him in a final no matter who he's playing, especially if it was the "off his rocket" ronnie.
Looks good enough for me at 20/1.
