1140: Despite
Hillary Clinton's victories in Ohio and Texas last night,
Victor Chandler are still going all out to lay her for both the Democratic Nomination and for her to be the next President.
The firm are a best priced 12/5 that she manages to beat off
Barack Obama in the Democratic race, and a stand out 9/2 that she makes it to the Oval Office.
The firm's political spokesman Dave Jenkins says that in some ways their hand has been forced, explaining: "We have a huge liability on Barack Obama becoming the next President, so the price reflects the fact that we want to balance the books.
"But that is good news for those who feel that Hillary Clinton can capitalise on the momentum of victories in Ohio and Texas and go on to make a real challenge for the White House."
Barack Obama is still a strong favourite to go head to head with John McCain, but with Clinton looking strong in Pennsylvania the race for the Democratic nomination is far from over.
"As we all know, she's a tough political animal, and she never gives up," added Jenkins. "Some were writing her obituary before last night, but once again she proved her doubters wrong. She is still a formidable candidate."
