Re: Six Nations 2008
I'm with DOD on the Scots England game , nothing England have done to date has impressed me , same too with Scotland truth be known but Like the English do against the French the Scots also do against the English in upping their game for a one off finally.
England in the recent past have folded under pressure when it matters for some reason on foreign turf against the home nations and the Calcutta cup has become the biggest game of their season for the last few yrs now.
The outcome of this game will probbaly come down to kicking and at the moment i think Paterson has the edge on Wiilkinson, especially on distance kicking.
Scotland IMO could win this on the level or it may come down to a narrow England win but Scotland @ +9 @ evens would be my bet in this one.
If Wales want to beat Ireland then they will have to get out of the blocks a lot sooner as they have been doing lately as Ireland arent the type of team to lapse or crumble in the second half especially at Croke park, O'gara will have to be at his best and if he is then Ireland should take this as he has a nack of rallying his troops when it matters.
The comfortable win over Scotland will have done there moral no harm whatsoever and they have gradually got better as the tournament has progressed, this should be a tight and close game but i think home advantage will be hugely significant for the Irish and with the handicap being only 3 I'll go with the Irish at Evens @ -3.
