225 race at nottingham saturday

Intriging race this with PASS THE PORT 5/1 on same terms with CASUAL AFFAIR 9/2 as when they met .
Pass the port winning.

Todays fav Casual affair looks more risky today having struggled in class 5 2k races (over shorter) may be the horse was flattered when beaten.

PASS THE PORT went on from that to end up just behind two horses TILT and DOUBLE BANDED both placed in the chester cup 74k class 2 race.(over this course and distance)
(Inchcandamph in behind in both races)

This suggests to me PASS THE PORT likes the track is fit as can be in form and should go well.

A lot of these have been hurdling and beaten badly or well behind on recent flat runs some will of course improve for that so its not a high stakes punting type of race.

INCHLOCK is a danger but im inclined to think its too far for him hes only won over 10f this is 14.
TRANCE couldnt win a musselb seller 2 runs ago so should struggle
COLONEL FAY won a class 6 1k race last time out that doesnt compare to some of these.
FOUR MIRACLES is a class 5 performer whos had 7 months off.

WRAITH the cecIl one is a bit of an unknown but we do no it was hammered 10l in class 5 first time up it will have to grow wings to get near class 2 form of pass the port (Wings can grow) !
TRAPAIN no real negs and could go well but hasnt yet showed itself this term (only 1 c/b run)

Selection for me is
PASS THE PORT looks a safe place bet with a good chance of winning , these type of races sometimes throw up anything but this looks worth a second look.
