Re: Liverpool have made no progress under Benitez

Its an improvement on last season but its still 6 points behind your total the previous season, which suggests last season was a big backwards step from the previous one and that the team still haven't caught up on where they were 2 seasons ago.

Interesting to note however that the league winning total in the last 4 seasons is dropping, 95-91-89-87 this season. Chelseas 85 points however is still the best 2nd place total that I can see, the last 3 seasons before were all 83 points....and they are all still better than Liverpools best total.

I think the expectations are Liverpool are one of the "Big 4" therefore they should be challenging for the title each season. However while they are finishing top 4 they have never really put any of the winners under pressure at any point in the last 4 seasons.

To take the next step up I think Liverpool and Rafa need to improve their record against Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal. Without looking is it not quite poor over the last few years?
