Re: England v New Zealand

Sorry Broms, missed the Alvechurch question. Yes I am still there, 1sts captain now for my sins wasnt anybody else to do it really, but we're in the crap tbh......we're bottom & playing 2nd bottom on saturday so fingers crossed but need a good performance
Back to the test: Had a bit more of England @ 2.2 straight after lunch but I think they were available up to 2.6 which wasnt very high really considering they were 86-5 which goes to show that not a lot of people really fancy NZ at all.
I'm break even with NZ now, & in profit with England with average odds of evens. The time to back NZ has gone though now I reckon, as I cant see a draw here.
A lots been said of the average first class score here this season is only 214, but the highest is only 279 & England will beat that in the morning. All in all I think the home sides in a decent position although Sidebottom going down the order with 'a twinge' is worrying, but it only strengthens the Broad bet for the lads.
NZ have had their chance in this test the way I see it. Its been helpful all day & to let a side recover from 86-5 to nigh on 300 is a problem that not many sides recover from, particularly when the bowling is generally more reliable than the batting & Vettori & Martin were poor today.
I traded out on the under 300 @ 2.75 when 4 down so in profit there, & I've got unmatched bets on NZ laying 250 & 175 at the moment. I think they'll have to come out & have a go at this & I dont think the 3 day test is out the window yet although I'd rather have Pies 14.0 than the 6.0 I had a nibble of.
England all the way from here for me & I fancy the Kiwis getting bundled for under 200
