Passed through Riga briefly when I did a three week tour of the Baltics in 1999.Meant to spend a week in each of Lithunia, Latvia and Estonia but it was the least favorite of the places to be honest. Ended up leaveing after about two days and spending all the time in Estonia and Latvia . There is a good club in Riga with a Soviet theme. DJ does his set from the nose cockpit of a Mig fighter. Can't remember the name but its one of the most famous in Riga. Not a lot of people spoke English and I found getting around a drag. Women are EXTREMELY nice looking. Blondes and leggy if you like that kind of thing
. It was the cheapest of the Baltic countries (probably still is). Food, drink and hotels all cheap.
