Re: Quinten Hann - Snooker cheat?

I guess some sports might be blantantly obvious Alien but I've heard tennis also has it's fair share "gentleman's agreement's". Wouldn't have thought it'd affect the grandslam tournaments but definitely not a surprise in one of the lesser events.

Thinking about it though people can easily make up excuses to explain a sub-standard performance. Recurrence of an old injury, personal problems etc.

What does amaze me though is people trying to fix team sports. Surely it's just too hard, so many people to bribe, and the chances of someone blabbing... There was the big German case this year in a cup game between non league Paderborn and Bundesliga team Hamburg. The ref sent off Hamburg's striker (Mpenza I think), and awarded Paderborn 2 penalties. I mean come on, that sort of behaviour from a ref is just going to attract attention.

So to summarise, if your planning a career in bet fixing stick to non-team events.
