Re: Weekend non-league

Extremely speculative punt here (goalscorer bets always are) but Im gona put a small bet on this.

Ive been a fan of Daryl Clare when I saw him bang em in week after week for Chester when they got promoted from the conference winning me quite a few bets on Chester. In his last 3 seasons of conference footie hes notched 72 goals and fired his way to two conf golden boots. Thats 72 in just over 100 games I believe (one season he only played 25).

Hes now at Crawley (after a deadline day switch from league 2 Boston) and his introduction has brought about a fair bit of goalscoring action in Crawleys games since. Hes scored 3 in 6 games since going there and played the full 90 in all games. All 3 goals coming in away games as it happens (though im not sure thats relevant). He also takes penalties. Crawley havent failed to score since he arrived, he obviously adds great attacking threat to their line up and bags of experience at this level.

As been discussed in the thread previous Crawley play away to Altrincham. Theyve conceded 17 in the last 5 games, so are shipping very heavily at the back. An experienced conf striker like Clare must fancy his chances of bagging here and I dont blame him one bit.

At 13/8 to score at bet365 I cant resist a punt as I believe he will for sure have chances to score against Altrincham and I fancy him to bag one of them. Considering he scores in about half his games anyway I think its value.

Its 6/1 for first scorer but im taking the anytime as Crawley concede and score lots so the first goal is a bit of a lottery. I may follow him in future games if priced nicely as well.
