Re: English Prem 1st/2nd October

Saturdays games

Blackburn v West Brom 1.80
Inconsistent isn't the word with Blackburn, but i have a slight incling for Blackburn now Bellamy is back, since his return they have looked more comfortable up front and it also give Dickov a wee bit of space to do what he does best i.e annoying defenders and and creating space for Bellamy to run in. No savage but a goal will probably decide this as West Brom have only scored once on the rd to date.

Charlton v Tottenham 1 @ 2.50
Not much in this one but form wise i think Charlton will edge , there flying at the moment and have become a sound defensive out fit only conceding 3 in the prem and 2 of them to Chelsea, Chartton took all the points last yr from spurs if i remember right so know how to play em and Curbishley has no injury worrys so can field an unchanged side that beat West Brom last wee.
Spurs got off to a flyer but though not wobbling seem to be looking a bit jaded of late especially up front, they have some cracking players but i have a feeling Charltons work ethic will edge this by the odd goal.

Fulham v Man Utd
Obviously have to fancy United but current form does not instill confidence in me to back them, havent looked the same defensively since Heinze was injured and theres nothing to stop Fulham doing a Blackburn on them.
No bet for me

Portsmouth v Newcastle 2 @ 2.40
Felt confident about Newcastle earlier on in the week but the more i thought about it the less of a bet it became as even though they have won 2 on the bounce nothing in there play really shone especially last week against City as like stuart pearce said we showed them to much respect when the game was there for the taking.
Since midweek Pompey seem to have a few players out especially ex Newcastle players Lualua and Robert which is a huge bonus for Newcastle as we know they always do come back and haunt you (watch Obrien get the winner), now looking @ the team sheets Newcastle edge it by a distance so i'll have a wee shufty on them.

Sunderland v West Ham 2 @ 2.75

I like the look of this one a lot Sunderland may have got there first win for Donkeys but West Ham have caught my eye this yr and have the sort of team who will turn Sunderland over if they rest on their laurels Seem to be hitting the net for fun up front and spread the scoring out too though Harwood sems on fire, they also have Sheringham who though is getting on still has the potential to run a game and give West ham that extra edge to beat a team Like Sunderland.
