Have to go along with Charlton again.
Much the same write up as last week and Slick has also mentioned a few relevant points that I would bring up. Anyway, here we go. 2nd in the league and this is an excellent position considering they have only played 6 games (majority have played 7). Also excellent considering they have played 4 of 6 away from home and as mentioned, Chelsea are the only side to take anything from them this season. Defensively solid and scoring goals each week. They look a good confident settled side to me at the moment.
Spurs started with promise with 2 2-0 wins but after that they went through a run of 4 games not winning and only 1 goal (at Villa) in those 4 games. From what I remember of the Villa game, they had numerous chances to bury Spurs but couldn't put the ball in the net a 2nd time. Spurs did miss a penalty (I think) but Villa looked the better side overall.
A 1-0 home win over Fulham does not convince me they are "back" but the one thing in their favour is that they have had a consistantly good defence this season with only 3 conceded in 7 games.
Betdirect come out with a price of 2.60 on Charlton (a little higher on the exchanges but thats not taking comm into account) while is it again noticeable that
Laddies are ducking Charlton (like the did at WBA) and are bottom of the pile, only going 2.10. 2.60 is good enough for me, Charlton are only this price as they are not a "name", if this was someone like Liverpool, Newcastle or Spurs with the current Charlton form I would argue they would be approaching odds on.
1pt Charlton at 2.60 with Betdirect
