Have to agree that it's not looking good for the Gills today. A message on the Gills Rivals messageboard says that Byfield is due to be on Soccer AM this morning (can anyone confirm?), and if that's true then he's obviously not going to be playing today. Will leave us with two from Neil Harris, Hislop (still not fully match fit) and Jarvis up front, and to be honest I can't see that front line outscoring Southend's with the form they're in, especially up against our makeshift defence (although that same defence did keep a clean sheet in the week v Chesterfield).
Mind you, the Gills do seem to have a tendency to do well when the odds seem stacked against them. Still, I'm already on Southend at 17/10, and I certainly wouldn't discourage anyone who's thinking of doing the same
