Re: Midweek Non-League 24-26th

After a load of umming and ahhing this evening ive decided not go with anything this midweek. Theres 5 that tempt me but there just seems to be something niggling me in all of them. Im going to be extremely boring and save my coppers for the weekend where theres always bets to be found

I nearly took top dogs Hampton at Evens but then I saw theyve lost their last 3 aways, two of them to title challengers granted, but the other was in the cup to lower league Leatherhead and that was enough to put me off. I think theyll win actually and at 11/10 i would have been on for sure Still the stats back it up and I believe its a good bet all in all and should be shades of odds on.

Braintree at Evens was another tempter. Theyve played Heybridge 3 times already this season giving us a good gauge of how the two teams shape up against one another. They won 3-0 and drew 1-1 away and won the home 3-1 which bodes well for the bet. I looked at the reports and it seems the matches were very even though and was just a case of Braintree being more clinical and maybe getting the breaks. Its another id be on at 11/10 if it were available. But its not

In the Southern league I think Cirencester will do away with Rugby at 4/5 and I think there could be a bit of value in that price as 4/6 would probably be more on the mark. Cirencester are one of those that seem to beat the poor sides and come a cropper vs good ones. I was on Cirencester to beat Gloucester a couple of weeks back which was an extremely similar game to this and they obliged. Thing is I got Evens on that and thats enough to make me not bet here

Hereford in the cup are a sporting bet as they should really do away with average Alfreton. But thats on paper and this is the cup and strange things can happen (see Accrington tonight for an example) and you know Alfreton will be well up for this. Im also a bit worried by Herefords lack of firepower this season. Having said this id rate them Evens max for this still as they are a quality conference side.

The final one was Dave's shout on Bromley. At 9/4 they are too big. Why im not on them I couldnt really say but Ive just got an extreme feeling for a draw as both teams seldom lose. Also it has to be said Bromley have only beaten poor opposition at home this season but you can only beat whats put infront of you. If I could lay Wimbledon at Skys silly odds of 10/11 I would.

So as you can see ive bottled it this midweek but theres 5 good and perfectly sporting plays for anyone who wants a tickle

Braintree v Heybridge @ Evens (Bet365/StanJames)
Bromley v AFC Wimbledon @ 9/4 (Skybet)
Wealdstone v Hampton @ Evens (Bet365/StanJames)
Cirencester v Rugby @ 4/5 (Skybet)
Alfreton v Hereford @ 11/10 (SportingOdds/StanJames)
