Re: CC League One & Two - 25/26th Oct

stick with the german cup tomorrow?! this is the DAILY punt!

I've had a look at this game and fancy a couple of bets, even went through the longwinded betfair registration (well after i typed in my incorrect card details and was on hold for 15 minutes it was) to get one of them on.

Gonna have to go against Komp and Swoops on this one and go for PETERBOROUGH at home to Wrexham. You coulsd say they were unlucky to lose in the last few mins against rovers but the reports that they deserved it on the balance of play and the match stats tell a different story:

Rovers Wrexham
shots on target 7 4
shots off target 8 1
corners 5 2

I've never rated Denis Smith, an old manager of ours, and the quotes he gave on the BBC seem a load of rubbish.

"It's frustrating because we're throwing games away. We're not playing badly, we're just switching off towards the end of games."

"We are a decent side away from home, but the results don't show that so we've got to start turning those performances into results."

The table doesn't lie Denis, Wrexham are not a decent side away from home, and were beaten comprehensively by Wycombe in their last league away game 4-1, the home team were 2 up at half time.

Posh on the other hand showed great spirit to come back from 1-0 down at ht to beat Rochadale 3-1 on saturday which followed on from a 4-0 thrashing of Macclesfield.

Wrexham still havent won away from home this season and while it'll certainly come at some stage, a confident freescoring Peterborough team is more than capable of scoring and making them wait for that first away win

team news:

Peterborough striker Calum Willock faces a late fitness test on a calf strain ahead of Wrexham's visit.

Defender Chris Plummer is also a doubt with a rib injury, while Peter Kennedy, Jamie Day (both calf) and Shane Huke (foot) are still missing.

On-loan Wrexham striker Juan Ugarte is sidelined with a knee injury. Dean Bennett (ankle), Dennis Lawrence (hamstring), Lee Roche (hernia), Shaun Pejic (ligaments), Matt Crowell and Jim Whitley (both knee) are all missing.

so, still a lot of injuries for Wrexham including their recent loan re-signing.

2nd Bet is +2.5 goals in this game. for the following reasons:

Posh have scored 8 goals (in normal time) over their last 3 games, Wrexham have scored 7 in the same period

This league tie has produced 15 goals in the last 3 years!

ok then, 2 bets, both with Betfair

Peterborough to Win 2.1
+2.5 goals at 2.16

heres looking at a 2-1, 3-2 home win.
