I don't think Fletcher looks that good for Scotland either to be honest. It's more a case of making a couple of passes that go to a team mate or a wee fancy flick and turn is really going to make you stand out in this Scotland team. That's not meant to be insulting btw.
If you were to analyse his international performances you wouldn't see anything great there at all. :shrug
He still needs to build himself up a bit physically I feel which should help him. He'll be a different player next season. Just you wait.
