Re: MLB - Major League Baseball 2006
I'm going to go small on the Braves as +145 dogs today. Philly is a tough place, especially when the home crowd is against you.

Brett Myers is slated to make his first start at home since he was charged with hitting his wife on June 23, which should make for a very hostile environment. He was scheduled to make an appearance on Saturday, but due to rain his start was pushed back until today. Even though he’ll wear a Phillies uniform, don’t expect the Philly faithful to give him a warm reception. "I will boo him, but I will give him a second chance," a Philadelphia season ticket holder told the Philadelphia Inquirer. "He gets a second chance, but he`s got to understand how serious this is. If he doesn`t get booed, I`ll give up my season tickets."

Re: MLB - Major League Baseball 2006
Haha well done sponger. I hadn't actually read this thread but had a little on the braves myself last night so I was definitely liking that 9th inning.
One inning I didn't like was the top of the seventh in the baltimore-tampa game on saturday. I was on tampa -1.5
Come the top of the seventh I was pretty confident

For me two matches today. St.Louis beat the poor Dodgers the 7th time and San Diego beat the flower-power San Francisco ... I hope so

35 Euros won with San Diego and St.Louis
Tonight I stake on San Diego again.LA play the worst Baseball at the moment and San Diego start with Chris Young,he´s fit again.I promise also that Toronto win at Seatle in the Safeco Park in Seatle.Toronto starts with Casey Janssen versus Pineiro ...

Re: MLB - Major League Baseball 2006
Here's the other game. It comes from a very good/popular MLB tipster. He has released a 4-Star play for today's Yankees/Rangers game.
Quote:
4* YANKEES/TEXAS OVER
It has been a nice ride for us both On and Against Randy Johnson this season, and the setting is proper once again, thanks to some bizarre managing by Joe Torre last week. As we continue to point out, Johnson’s form can be almost directly related to pitch counts – when he comes in fresh he can still be effective, but at the age of 42 he can not bounce back from outings in which he has extended himself. Now after throwing a difficult to believe 129 pitches vs. Seattle in his last outing, by far his season high, a hot night in Arlington means plenty of good swings for a Texas offense that likes hard stuff. For the record, when pitching off of a count of 110 or more so far this season Johnson sports a 7.02 ERA, with an alarming rate of 3.2 home runs per 9 innings. This is a prime spot for him to struggle.
Meanwhile Kevin Millwod continues to show no confidence at all from this mound. As we noted in a ”Diamonds in the Rough” column last week, the hitter-friendly conditions have gotten into his head. It is one thing to sport a 3-4/6.59 base, but the peripherals tell an even better tale. On the road he is averaging 7.25 strikeouts per 9; at home it is 4.67. On the road his walks are 1.07; from this mound 2.73. That is a sign of someone that is not comfortable working in the strike zone in this ballpark, and against a patient team like the Yankees that will force the ball to be in the zone this is not the night for that trend to change.
It will be in the 90’s on Monday night when the first pitch is thrown, setting the stage for the offenses to dominate. Johnson and Millwood are not likely to put up much resistance, and outside of Mariano Rivera there is no one to fear in either bullpen (especially with the Yankees getting such a short shift from Sidney Ponson on Sunday, over-extending their relief corps). The early start time will cause some shadow problems for the first inning or two, but eventually the hitters own this one.
Sometimes there are performance patterns that are so obvious that we wonder how the markets keep missing them. But as long as they do we keep playing.

Re: MLB - Major League Baseball 2006
Certainly don't mind backing an over the total when Randy Johnson is pitching. He often gives up more than expected. This guy appears to have studied it a tad deeper than most of us but hey ! Now you gotta expect yankees to hit a few so yeah I'll probably join you for that bet sponger

Re: MLB - Major League Baseball 2006
And he makes an error and a guy is safely on first shortly afterwards.
Everything is going fine until Randy makes a couple of mistakes and then it just goes tits up for him. Hopefully that will carry on to be the case !
