Perhaps last years fact that 3/4 relegated sides won automatic promotion might be a good place to start though.

I havent really looked but i quite liked a few of Lamberts signings at Wycombe. I here that Holt will be out injured though at the start. I think they'll do well with him back. I was sure that they had brought in more than that mind. Im on page 2 of the thread here but i'll be interested if anyone had anything 'solid' for this league as it all looks pretty tight to me. Darlington have some interesting signings though. Theyve been recruiting from the end of last season. Id be interested in seeing how theyve done in friendlies etc. could be well settled. League winners though?

Not been playing much poker recently Komp don't really have the time and patience for it now.

Anyways, I think Chesterfield are probably the strongest of the sides to come down. On paper I thought they were the strongest of the sqauds and I think they've potentially added very well with the likes of Lester and Gray both getting on a bit but in terms of ability and leadership I think they'll be very useful.

Bradford with 10,000 season tickets sold, and Stuart McCall in charge, almost a case of whatever team they put out you'd have to think that'd be a tough place to go. Rotherham don't impress me much at the moment and I've got slight doubts about Terry Butcher at Brentford who doesn't have the sort of budget at his disposal that you'd think a club like Brentford would.

I'll update the transfers again sometime next week. MK Dons adding Colin Cameron is the most notable since the last update.

Re: CC League 2 Close Season News & Links

Haven't read the whole thread but for me Peterborough aren't favourites for no reason. Joint second top scorers last season, they've signed Dean Keates, Champions Walsall's top scorer and best player apparently. Also signed defender Westwood from Walsall, Spurs reserve captain Lee, and three players considered to be the cream of talent from the conference.

Been on Chesterfield board, severely lacking midfielders although that was a couple of weeks ago. Bradford fans were bemoaning their lack of signings too. Notts County have lost their best defender for months through injury.

MK Dons look good, beat a strong West Ham side and added Kevin Gallen and Cameron, two championship standars players but they could lose Izale McLeod to Charlton.

Rochdale were the form team from december onwards and look a good bet to finally do something in the division, ever presents since 1974!!! Signed the excellent Ben Muirhead from Bradford, did well for them on loan last season. They are strong up front with Dagnall, Murray and Le Fondre.

Agree that Wycombe look good, John Sutton will surely stand out in that league and McCracken has good SPL experience.

Wrexham should do a lot better while Darlington have one of the best managers in the league in former Doncaster boss Dave Penney and have bought well. Wont win the league though.

Finally, Bury are a huge (+35) on Skybet handicaps, tipped to do better than bottom half by many.

That transfer link is poor. Misses out Kevin Gallen (QPR to MK), Sutton and McCracken to Wycombe, at least 1 Peterborough signing, Le Fondre (Stockport to Rochdale), and at least 2 Rotherham buys.
