Man City odds a bit generous? I'm quite surprised to see 4.50. They're not performing particularly brilliantly apparently but it's still two wins and two clean sheets and Man Utd are hardly firing on all cylinders are they? And struggling up front a bit. At least a point isn't out of the question is it? Talk to me.

I don't like the look of that set of fixtures at all. Only thing i could contemplate there is Portsmouth to beat Bolton.

Portsmouth looked ok against Man U in parts and Bolton are no Man U. Anelka could cause a problem but i fancy Portsmouth to do enough.

Especially as i've just noticed that whilst VC go 1.8 for the home win Portsmouth are 2.025 on the AH -0.5 I love it when bookies do this shit. I'm on

was at the brum v sunderland game last night, wasnt impressed with either team, loads of effort but not much quality apart from kapo for brum who was quality. definitely wouldnt make them favourites to beat west ham although the hammers were shocking last saturday by all accounts.
sunderland were very strong and organised but not much flair, should be a tight game at wigan

A few thoughts at the moment.

I thought Fulham looked good value for their win v Bolton last night, would have been a clean sheet bar the keepers howler in terrible conditions. Boro are just screaming relegation fight to me. Fulham a good record in this fixture too

English Premier Fulham 2-1 Middlesbrough 18-12-2006
English Premier Fulham 1-0 Middlesbrough 07-05-2006
English Premier Fulham 0-2 Middlesbrough 25-08-2004
English Premier Fulham 3-2 Middlesbrough 16-08-2003
English Premier Fulham 1-0 Middlesbrough 19-01-2003
English Premier Fulham 2-1 Middlesbrough 12-01-2002

Would have thought, at first glance, about laying Arsenal at Blackburn but would re-consider at odds against.

Results have gone one way or another in this one in recent seasons, note the last draw was a while ago and one team seems to win with a clean sheet every game.

English FA Cup Blackburn Rovers 1-0 Arsenal 28-02-2007
English Premier Blackburn Rovers 0-2 Arsenal 13-01-2007
English Premier Blackburn Rovers 1-0 Arsenal 25-02-2006
English Premier Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Arsenal 19-03-2005
English Premier Blackburn Rovers 0-2 Arsenal 13-03-2004
English Premier Blackburn Rovers 2-0 Arsenal 15-03-2003

Last draw
English Premier Blackburn Rovers 1-1 Arsenal 27-04-1996

Will have a wee think about the others.

You're all trying to put me off aren't you? Well you won't! I think Man City are in with a decent shout of getting something from that.

Nice spot on the asian Quandram... Think I'll join you... Portsmouth at times against Man Utd were impressive and it appears they really took it to them in the 2nd half.. Sammy Lee has a big job on his hands and I can see his woes continuing..

I think Fulham look decent value also. 5/4 at StanJames is a decent price. Should be around Evens I think.

Re: Eng Premier League: 18-19th Aug

Portsmouth,Fulham and Everton looks tempting. Especially the first two teams.

Bolton are allready in trouble, players want out and their defence doesn't look that impressive. Portsmouth impressed against Man.Utd and will win this game if they continue like that. Maybe about time Nugent scored too?

Fulham could, with some luck, have been the league leaders, but because of Arsenal's fightback, they only got 3 points, but nevertheless things look good for Sanchez boys. We might see Kamara from the start soon too, I expect. Middlesbrough got lots of british young talent, but they do not impress me at all. Southgate might be heading for a relegation battle this year.

Everton are top of the table so far, and have done extremly well so far. To beat Spurs 3-1 away says it all. Not many teams do that. Reading was leading Chelsea by 1-0, but two quick goals from the Blues was enough to turn it around. Reading could loose this match against a team on a high.

Liverpool vs Chelsea? No bet, but a thriller, no doubt!

Is no one else tempted by the Man U odds? It's nearly evens!! When was the last time that Man U were evens against anyone, yet alone Man City. There's no doubt that Man U will finish in the top 3 and they will definately win today.

Imo of course!

Good luck

Re: Eng Premier League: 18-19th Aug

I can see goals a plenty here.

It's only the 3rd game of the season but both sets of fans/players everybody infact will be up for this. Man City have started very well and Man Utd have started poor. I honestly don't know who'll come out of this with the 3 points if in fact anybody but I hope there is goals and I've had a wee taste of 4 or more goals.

I think it'll will start off at an incredible pace and hopefully an early goal will set the tone. Man Utd to steal it 3-2.

Owen Hargreaves will replace Ronaldo in midfield and Tevez to replace Rooney.

Re: Eng Premier League: 18-19th Aug

I'm somehow drawn to overs for the Man City - Man Utd game. All the stats are telling me otherwise though - None of them have been in an overs this season - maybe its about time?

5 of the last 10 derbies have been overs, 3 of the last 5 at Man City. Also, Man City had a dismal scoring record at home last season and I don't think Man Utd have the same attacking options without Rooney & Ronaldo.

Aaarrgh! why the urge to back overs?
