Bloody hell he doesent get the rub of the green does he, Still West Ham should have expected something like this from his previous form.
I suppose somebody up there could be having a laff Chief, as no doubt Dyer has been asking the big fella all season for a break.

Am going with this one, both Bristol City's home games have been overs and I think there is very little chance of us keeping a clean sheet - both sides will attack and I can see this one ending 1-2/1-3

Re: The Carling Cup: 28/29th Aug
Not so bad today...
I tok Liverpool and Villa with 10/10 and won easy..
Also i won some small combos coz my favourites (Fulham, Charlton, Cardif, WBA, Plymouth and smoe scotish team won). I was very very very lucky today coz Charlton and Cardif scored in last minute of the game..
Derby killed my nice extra profit ....but more important is that i had combo of 10 teams from yesterday and readinig first posts here i tok Wolves (big mistake, i didnt wach statistic) and i won 9 of 10 games...Wolves also killed a huge profit today for me...
But i won some money today and i must be happy... .GIF)

Re: The Carling Cup: 28/29th Aug
Can't argue with that THM allthough i've heard Ericksson will be resting a few first team players for this allthough i'd have thought any piece of Silverware would be of prime importance for him.
Saying that City have a lot bigger squad that last yr and should not be lacking experience, Bianchi should get a full start and he looked pretty dangerous pre season netting a few times but does not seem to be on Svens first team teamsheet at the moment for some unknown reason.
Still City have numerous players who will be looking to make a name for themselves b4 Sven finally decides who he wants out the door.
Stevie Ireland also has a habbit of doing well in cup games against so called lesser opposition and i woulent be surprised to see him score and/or get MOM.

I can't tell you how many times I've done that...I don't mean to diss all of us, but the fact is we all bet with huge blind spots, if you just go against the team that everyone labels a "banker" you'll do quite well over time. I'm including myself in this, too...the ones you think you don't need to think about are the real killers...
Don't believe everything you think...

Re: The Carling Cup: 28/29th Aug
Well from experience ATK I never bet on teams i know nothing about and use any posts about those teams to compare my judgemet against theres, sometimes you get good info and latest news you ddint know about and other times you can just dismiss it as shite as you know better.
When it comes to other teams then over time you get to learn who knows what and which team and the confidence of their picks that go with it.
Then you have to decide if u also want a piece of the action but somebody posting up this or that team looks a banker would not endear me to that bet without reasoning or knowing the tipsters history on that team.
Nothings given on a plate otherwise we could all retire tomorrow but with a bit of homework you can make things go in your favour.
Goodluck in future m8 and don't go betting against those bankers blindly.

Re: The Carling Cup: 28/29th Aug
It was just "quick bet" , like a sex with girl when you met her first time...no big thinking there...
But i made great profit yesterday after i read a news about teams wich played yesterday...
For me, Man City is big NO BET..No chance that they will risk so great start in PL..I think that they can rest all important players..Today we have so many games in another comepetetion and i will not tach this game..
New Castle and Boro should win this games today, but odds are too short..I will take both but in combo and of course separated
I will focuse today on champions league and cup uefa tomorow..

Re: The Carling Cup: 28/29th Aug
I've piled into Man City on the understanding the Sven would like to do well in most competitions but have just read about him fielding a weakened side. Dont know how weakened it'll be but hopefully they'll be too strong for Bristol City.

Re: The Carling Cup: 28/29th Aug
Welcome gorcha1, heres a preview of the Newcastle match
Michael Owen and Shola Ameobi are due to start up front for Newcastle United's Carling Cup tie with Barnsley.
Sam Allardyce is looking for a sustained run in the competition and will welcome No.1 striker Owen back into the starting line-up.
Owen has only featured as a substitute for the club so far this season, but is due to partner Ameobi in attack.
That will give Mark Viduka and Obafemi Martins a break, although injuries are also forcing Allardyce's hand.
Shay Given, Joey Barton and Damien Duff remain sidelined, while the defence picked up two injuries in Sunday's 2-2 draw at Middlesbrough.
Start for Cacapa
Stephen Carr and Peter Ramage were both forced off at The Riverside and will be missing for the visit of Barnsley.
Recent signing Claudio Cacapa will get his first start for Newcastle at centre-half, while Spanish full-back Jose Enrique is due to make his debut.
Turkish midfielder Emre Belozoglu is also in contention to make his first appearance of the season as The Magpies aim to avoid an upset.
Simon Davey insists his Barnsley side are heading up to St James' Park with a gameplan to win the second round tie.
The Championship club will be without new signing Stephen Foster, who played against Grimsby Town for Burnley in the first round.
Loan signing Anderson is also not eligible to play, while Istvan Ferenczi, Kayode Odejayi and Andy Johnson are carrying knocks.

Re: The Carling Cup: 28/29th Aug
You stuffy cnut Keggers , I bet u shite urself when that last minute goal from Bristol went in only to be disallowed
It wasent a bad game allthough after the first half i thought City were going to come out and run amok, Hats off to Bristol as they never gave up and Johnson has done well to improve on last yrs team with the new players he has brought in, If they carry on playing like that they should do quite well this yr in the Championship.

Too true slick. I was watching the Celtic game on bbc and kept flicking over. Flicked over when 1-1 to see City going 2-1 up and thought that'll be it. Watched last 5 mins cause my wee arsehole was twitching and it certainly twitched a big bit when the guy put the ball in the onion bag but was lucky enough to get it chopped off .GIF)

lol Nice little 12/1 touch landed there
