Derry City v Bohemians (Tues)

Derry hope to put their poor form of late behind when they face Bohemians in the Eircom League Cup final at the Brandywell on Tuesday night (2000 BST).

The Candystripes suffered their fourth straight Premier Division defeat on Sunday, but will be keen to notch a hat-trick of knock-out trophy wins.

Manager John Robinson is awaiting news from his long injury ravaged squad before naming his side.

Bohs will travel in good form after a 1-0 win over St Pat's on Saturday.

Derry, who have won the cup on seven previous occasions, had the luck of the draw when Brandywell came out of the hat as the venue for the final.

Cliftonville v Newry City (Tue)

Declan O'Hara missed Saturday's 2-1 home win over Armagh
Cliftonville defender Declan O'Hara returns from suspension for the CIS Cup quarter-final at Solitude (1945 BST).
But Reds manager Eddie Patterson is without the injured quartet of Liam Fleming, Mark Holland, Barry Holland and Daniel Lyons.

Newry striker James Willis will be sidelined for up to five weeks with a knee ligament injury.

"The pressure is on Cliftonville as they are expected to win and that suits us fine," said City boss Gerry Flynn.

O'Hara was sent off in the stormy Co Antrim Shield semi-final defeat by Glentoran last week.

Portadown v Crusaders (Tue)

Eamon Doherty is a doubt for the CIS Cup quarter-final
Crusaders will give late fitness tests to Eamon Doherty and Martin Reilly before the CIS Cup quarter-final at Shamrock Park (1945 BST).
Doherty (hamstring) and Reilly (calf) are the only doubts for the Crues.

"We are confident after two wins and although the Ports beat us 2-0 in the league we played well in the game," said Seaview boss Stephen Baxter.

Ports striker Gary McCutcheon is fit after a knee injury and midfielder Kevin Braniff is back after a ban.

Portadown will look to bounce back after Saturday's 1-0 loss at Linfield

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dungannon v Ballymena (Tue)

Ryan McCluskey is back from a ban for the crucial CIS clash
Dungannon just need a point from the CIS Insurance Cup Group A game at Stangmore Park to ensure qualification for the quarter-finals (1945 BST).
The Swifts welcome back Ryan McCluskey after a ban while Michael Hegarty also returns after a family bereavement.

Ballymena lie bottom of the group and three points behind Dungannon but still have a slim chance of taking the second qualifying spot behind Linfield.

United's defeat by Crusaders on Saturday was their third straight loss.

Dungannon ruined Glentoran's 100% domestic record at the weekend with a 1-1 draw at the Oval.

"That was a great result for us but we must maintain our focus for this game," said Swifts manager Harry Fay.

"Ballymena have come in for a bit of stick and I know what it is like after our start to the season.

"But they will be determined to bounce back and that makes them very, very dangerous opposition."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Linfield v Glenavon (Tue)

Gerard McMahon is sidelined for the trip to Windsor Park
Glenavon are without three key players for their final CIS Cup Group A game at Windsor Park (1945 BST).
Gerard McMahon (leg), Neil Gawley (groin) and Lewis Hamlin (work commitments) are all ruled out.

Linfield have already qualified in top spot in the group and Glenavon are one of three teams chasing second place and progression to the quarter-finals.

"I'll rotate a bit but I don't expect the team to be weakened in any way," said Linfield manager David Jeffrey.

"With the players I have at my disposal, I can expect one player to come in and do a job just as good as the player previously in possession of the jersey," he told the club website.

"It gives me an opportunity to give games to players who haven't had all that many games lately.

"It's not a case of putting out a weakened or second string team.

"I expect every single player who comes in, to perform to the standards we set and to the high standards of their colleagues."

## Portadown will be smarting after 2 successive defeats and this is a must win game with a semi-final place in the league cup at stake .

Cliftonville also will be determined to progress especially with a home tie at solitutude where they are hard to beat

Dungannon can also make home advantage tell with the sheepshaggers in a real mess at present manager Tommy Wright is under the same pressure as the Spurs manager.

My bet PORTADOWN ***@1.80 ,couple with C'VILLE @1.62 * and DUNGANNON * @ 2.10

Have 3 x 5 pt doubles an a 5 point treble.

As for Linfield it's a nothing game and DERRY CITY i've lost a lot of bet's on them this season i would not trust them especilly with all their injury problems

Re: IRISH c.i.s. League cup tuesday

One of the best matches ive ever been too last night, just what its all about to a club like us!! So Glad for the people who keep the club running and people that have followed them for years home and away but to no avail and although we havent won anything or even reached a final being in the semis of a domestic cup is a massive feat for a club like us!!

Winning 2-0 against Cliftonville and cruising in the first half we didnt come out for the second half and got punished and 85th minute penalty equalising and taking us into extra tiome when at half time we thought it would be a canter. Into extra time and yet another penalty pegs us back and it doesnt look like we can get a goal to bring things into penalties but up steaps Cullen Feeny in the last kick of the game unbelievable.
Then came penalties and we held out nerve to win 6-5, quality, great for a club like us to be sitting in the semis of a domestic competition hopefully now we get crusaders!!
