Re: Welsh Premier League Oct 12th/13th/14th

Latest news about my club Porthmadog from http://www.welsh-premier.com/news.php?ID=5910

Quote:
BLACKMORE SACKED AS PORT BOSS

FORMER Manchester United star Clayton Blackmore has been sacked after just four months at the Porthmadog helm.
Chairman Phil Jones, who has masterminded considerable off-field improvements at The Traeth, said action had to be taken "sooner rather than later" after a disastrous start to the campaign, which has yielded only three points from the first eight Welsh Premier games.

Viv Williams finds himself back in temporary charge of Porthmadog, only a few months after deciding to leave the club.
Port are playing a league cup match tomorrow night at Llangefni , not sure what type of team will travel there , I was talking To Ceri Roberts [ reserve team striker who scored two last time in the cup ] at lunchtime today and he was not in the squad to travel then , perhaps tomorrow he will be! I will let you know if there is any news from him.

WELSH PREMIER LEAGUE

Not feeling confident for any bets this weekend , I gave last night a miss thankfully as I fancied Haverfordwest.

Fri
Haverfordwest 1-2 Neath Athletic
Cefn Druids 5-2 Connah's Quay Nomads

I can only find reasoning for not having a bet today

Aberystwyth v Porthmadog
My team Port have a caretaker manager , the new player that Blackmore signed have left with him , Port have numerous injuries . This should be a home win but at those odds against the new manager syndrome [ someone posted on tdp that there is no truth in it] ...an avoid for me

Airbus v Llangefni
Should be a home win , but Llangefni have had good results in the cups and are due one in the league ... another no bet

Caersws v Port Talbot
Caersws bottom of the league , but have drawn their last three games 1-1 against decent sides.
Port Talbot a decent side at home but have lost all 3 away matches.
Port Talbot have more quality than Caersws but this year's stats tell me to avoid this one.

Llanelli v Bangor
Llanelli league leaders should win this one , odds too low.

Newtown v Caernarfon
Newtown playing better at home this season, they have already won more home games [3 vs 2] than last season.
Caernarfon have some players coming back from suspension and injuries but still miss their strikers.
This could be a home win.

Welshpool v Carmarthen
This is only Welshpool's third home game. They won one and lost the other to my club Porthmadog only points. Last season Welshpool were very difficult to beat at home, they only lost twice at home.
Carmarthen lost their first away game but since then they have won their other four away games.
Looks like a draw to me but another no bet

Sunday

TNS v Rhyl
3rd v 2nd and will be a close match , as recent encounters have been.
Rhyl v The New Saints 0:0 31-03-2007
The New Saints v Rhyl 2:0 19-11-2006
The New Saints v Rhyl 1:0 26-03-2006
Rhyl v The New Saints 0:0 18-11-2005

If I can find an unders bet I may go with that.

Sorry for the lack of recommendations on this Welsh thread.

My money this weekend is on France to beat England in the semi-final of the rugby world cup.

TNS have got over that blip at the start of the season , they played my team Port and were lucky to get three points with a last minute goal. TNS are not as good as last season.
Rhyl are 2nd in the league , but their results have been close apart from the 3-0 win at newly promoted Llangefni.
