Re: Non League 15-17th Oct

Some of these might not play because of FA Cup replays. ie AFC Wimbledon.

Re: Non League 15-17th Oct

Monday 14th Ryman 1 South
Dover Athletic 1.70 X 3.50 Chatham Town 3.40; Dover beat Whyteleafe 1-0 away from home it what proved to be a one sided match despite the scoreline. Numerous chances were squandered and excellent goalkeeping, and Whyteleafe could of snatched a draw late on. Watching an interview of their manager, says that they feel that the Chatham game is a must win. Chatham have enjoyed a couple of consecutive wins v Kings and on Friday Met Plod 2-0, impressive scalps, but looking at the results themselves; v Kings, it seemed although they played a near strength side, the FAT it seemed has no priority this season as a they went out lamely. Met Plod had six players out with three others who played coming back injury. Of course I cannot take anything away from Chats but knowing this puts the results in context and Dover should be quite out of thier league. 2pts on the HOME WIN

I agree CG, it seems Chatham winning twice makes them more of a threat than I realise.

Re: Non League 15-17th Oct

Worthing 2.00 X3.50 Cray Wanderers 2.90; Worthing who were relegated year seem to have found their feet in this league. Their manager was quoted as saying that promotion wouldn’t be a problem and so far they look to be heading towards a playoff place. The title I believe is beyond them with two other very goods sides in this league. I digress. Without up to date injury news I can only assume that three players who were defiantly missing Saturday where they lost 2-0 v Hampton&Richmond are still going to be out, but they have added to their squad with Lyons from Crystal Palace and Jupp from Horsham YM’s. Midfielder 17 yo Oakhurst is could be available after suspension, Worthing on paper look to be seriously strong and v Cray Wanderers have the ability to cause Worthing problems with Looking at their record they are no surprises with the matches going as the form book. Cray’s website up to date information on injuries isn’t to forth coming, The FA list of suspensions does not divulge a great deal of information. Worthing should be too strong for their opponents. 2pts. Home win.

More if time permits, later.

Re: Non League 15-17th Oct

Hmm, Dover lost 1-0, sorry if anyone was on it. I guess if we were right all the time we'd be millionaires.

Quote from the Dover forum, "I've never seen so many missed chances", Dover I think from that had a good deal of the play.

Once again apologies.

Re: Non League 15-17th Oct

Corinthian Casuals 2.10 X 3.50 Whitstable Town 2.70; Last time out Casuals in the league lost 5-2 at home v league leaders T&M, which on paper you would expect. Reading the T&M report though it was a lot closer than you would think, and one line in particular stood out for me, “Casuals, who have their best team for a while”, some praise indeed from the match reporter there. I have opposed Casuals almost at every opportunity I reasonably think they’ll lose, and they have only obliged me once. Away from King Georges Field their results seem a lot better securing 9 points on their travels, worryingly at home though its only 2. But v Whitstable; newboys to the Ryman 1 South who secured there first win of the season v Leatherhead 2-1. (I managed to see the final three minutes of this match after travelling there, blissfully unaware that the match kicked of at 1pm. At least I know where there ground is now). Whitstable I suspect will have Goss missing after being sent off on Saturday. New strike partners Neal & Akinde, impressed the former scoring both goals and the latter causing havoc for most of the match. Manager Seager I gather wanted a hell of a lot more from his players asking for leaders to stand out. It looks like he may of found them. This match is too close to call for my liking. I can’t even tell you who I’d go for at a push. Stone wall, NO BET.

Dulwich Hamlet 2.35 X 3.50 Whyteleafe 2.40; The home side here surprise me, they look to be heading for underachievers of the season to date. I like them as a side, big, strong, determined and direct, from what I made of them when I saw them. Why they have not got more points on the board I don’t know. Whyteleafe on the other hand are possibly the over achievers thus far. Looking at the results helps a little. Both sides have had fixtures with sides you could reasonably expect to be in each half of the table. The Leafe in their last two fixtures have played and lost v Met Plod 2-0 and Dover Ath 1-0, prior to that a clean sheet record of some 300 odd minutes. In the league however, Dulwich’s last match they won comfortably v Chatham Town 4-1, coupled with a decent cup run may be a turning point, or maybe a welcome distraction. Dulwich should just edge this I reckon but I’m not confident. NO BET

Leatherhead 1.35 X 4.50 Molesey 6.00; The Tanners surprisingly lost on Saturday 2-1 v Whitstable whilst Molesey surprisingly drew 1-1 with Ashford Town(Kent). Leatherhead had Sargeant sent off for brawling and goalkeeper stretchered off and a knee injury. They just have little consistency with results. Three results stick out for me in all of this. A 1-0 loss at home v Corinthians, a 2-1 win v YM’s and a 1-0 win v Worthing. The first shows a loss, showing an inability to score v weaker side. The second a 2-1 shows they struggled and conceded a goal against a side which look destined for relegation and a 1-0 win v Worthing which is a superb result. This just emphasizes my point. Back them you may but a roller coaster ride you’ll have. Molesey had a well deserved point on Saturday, but these are becoming less frequent as the weeks go by. Take out a 3-3 draw they have only scored three goals for and 25 against in eight matches. You can appreciate why Bwin have them at 6.00. Leatherhead should win this easily, but given their inconsistency v Corinthians and YM’s, a first choice goalkeeper missing and slight lack of form, anything could happen. NO BET

Metropolitan Police 2.10 X 3.50 Burgess Hill Town 2.70; This looks like a ding dong in prospect. The boys in blue are in injury crisis with six players out, another three coming back from injury, but getting fitter all the time. A 2-0 loss v Chatham is a good result considering Chats are a resurgent force. Burgess Hill have a youngish side, developing all the time with every result. BHT have an immaculate record at home this term, and away is dreadful with only a point secured. If Plod had a full squad of bobbies it would be a no brainer home win, with no new updates on their website to suggest not one of the injured six are recovering in time. BHT have Sadough in form scoring twice Saturday, but their website does mention a lack of communication and co-oderination up front. I fancy BHT with this one, but I’ll leave it for now and see if any more info comes out from either website. NO BET for now.

Re: Non League 15-17th Oct

Sorry not a lot of time for the last two matches. At work and have other prioirities other than figure out ways of how to squander my money.

Sittingbourne 1.40 X 4.00 Eastbourne Town 5.25; Home win, Not too many surprises, but with S'bourne getting trounched 5-1 v Kings on Sunday, they could be really low on confidence, which could play into E'bourne. I have a feeling about this one. Eastbourne I reckon will get something outta this. A win or a point, or I could be just plain wrong. NO BET

Walton Casuals 2.00 X 3.50 Horsham YMCA 2.90; Quite simply NO BET, two out of form sides 20th and 21st. Casuals at home have the slight edge and with YM's losing quite a few players in the close season and one or two recently. Am I talking myself into a Casuals win here. Maybe I'll have to think/sleep on this one. NO BET for now.

GL all

Re: Non League 15-17th Oct

BLUE SQUARE PREMIER
Halifax v Grays
Halifax will be without suspended duo Anthony Griffith and Jon Shaw for the visit of Grays.
The club are hopeful Alex Bailey will pass a late fitness test after picking up a groin injury.

Grays defender Simon Downer is back after a long spell on the sidelines because of an ankle injury.

Transfer-listed defender Andy Sambrook (ankle) is Grays' only injury concern, while forward Craig McAllister is away on loan with Rushden and Diamonds.

Re: Non League 15-17th Oct

I've just had a small bet on Burton away at Stevenage, Burton are 1 pt and 1 place above their hosts so that doesn't make them a 3/1 chance and with the speculation not going away of manger Mark Stimson leaving for the post at Gillingham then you feel it could be unsettling for the Borough. Bit of a chancer but why not at those odds.

(039) Burton 2.00 @ 3/1 and 2.00 @ 13/8 DNB, Totesport and Bet365
