I think Liverpool will take this very seriously and at 4/5 I am on them at small stakes. When the team news comes through this may go a lot higher odds as I feel West Ham will rest lots and Liverpool will not.

West Ham manager Alan Pardew has no fresh injury problems ahead of their FA Cup final rehearsal against Liverpool.

Jimmy Walker may return in goal for Shaka Hislop while right-back Lionel Scaloni is set for a recall.

Robbie Fowler is available again for Liverpool having been cup-tied for their FA Cup semi-final clash against Chelsea on Saturday. Reds boss Rafael Benitez may opt to make changes as they look to close the gap on second-placed Manchester United.

Hey Suke, I use Firefox and cannot paste info into this site, but I will recommend bbc.co.uk/sport where you will find the liverpool game, Benitez does say he will be resting people BUT I honestly think as long as two of these three play that they will win (Alonso, Sissoko, Gerrard). Fowler will play up front and does look like the striker we all know he can be.

I will wait right until official team news after 7 tonight before I plough in.

Re: West Ham v Liverpool: Wed 26th 19:45pm

It does look unpredictable Komp, Liverpool have the Champs league spot in the bag and i can't really see them chasing Utd wanting the 2nd place spot and believing they will grab it, especially now they have the FA cup to look forward to.

Same for the Hammers too as this will be like a FA cup preview with both sides not wanting to give much away but not wanting to lose to much face either.
West Ham still have an outside chance of a Uefa spot and 5's does look rather tempting even though their current home form is nothing special, but if Liverpool see this as a training exercise its not improbable.

Re: West Ham v Liverpool: Wed 26th 19:45pm

West Ham (from): Hislop, Ferdinand, Gabbidon, Collins, Konchesky, Benayoun, Reo-Coker, Mullins, Etherington, Ashton, Harewood, Walker, Scaloni, Clarke, Ward, Newton, Reid Fletcher, Sheringham, Zamora, Katan.

Liverpool (from): Reina, Finnan, Carragher, Hyypia, Riise, Gerrard, Alonso, Sissoko, Kewell, Luis Garcia, Crouch, Fowler, Dudek, Cisse, Hamann, Morientes, Traore.

  • Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez:
"Maybe we will rest some of the squad. I will need to check during training which players are fitter than others.

"It is not easy as some players are playing a lot of games. West Ham are a very good team. They seem to have a good spirit and a clear idea of what to do during games."

  • West Ham's James Collins:
"We want to put on a good performance and show Liverpool what they will be facing in the final.

"People might say that the pressure is off on Wednesday - but we won't be looking at it in that way. "We go into every game hoping to win, and it will be the same here. We want to put on a display for the fans."

TEAM NEWS FROM THE BBC SPORTS WEBSITE.

Not very reliable this BBC website sometimes as pointed out by some TDP members.

slick, think westham already guranteed uefa spot isnt it? And usually they lose in "dress rehersal", juz like how they lost to manC and beat them in the cup. But well, liverpool should nick this one on paper, but agree with you, this game should juz be left alone.
