TUESDAY night's results in the Cymru Alliance further complicated the promotion picture and threw a possible lifeline to the club that finishes bottom of the Welsh Premier.
Long time leaders Llandudno slumped to third place following a 4-2 defeat at Glantraeth, who have games in hand and are emerging as strong contenders to finish second behind probable champions Buckley Town. Tudno could be three points worse off once their appeal against a deduction is heard by the Cymru Alliance.
For the time being Flint Town United - who have applied for promotion - lie second following a 3-0 victory at Buckley.
But if Glantraeth claim second spot at the end of the season, there will be no promotion from the Cymru Alliance saving Cwmbran Town from relegation or, depending on the size of any points deduction levied on the Crows on Thursday, cash-strapped Cardiff Grange Quins, who might well be forced to resign from the league.

Airbus player/boss Gareth Owen is asking his players for a final flourish to end the season.
AIRBUS UK probably won't be aware whether Cwmbran have been docked points for allegedly fielding ineligible players when they kick-off their crucial relegation battle at The Airfield on Saturday.
The game would be irrelevant if the decision goes against the Gwent outfit, as it would be impossible for the Crows to catch the Wingmakers.
But although the commission met on Thursday, Cwmbran must wait for official written notication from the FAW.
If they are cleared, Cwmbran would need to win by five clear goals to beat the drop and home player/manager Gareth Owen has warned his players they would be wrong to think they are home and dry.
"It's going to be a hard game. If they need to win to stay up they may throw three men up front and really come at us, so we have to expect the unexpected," said Owen

Llanelli drew 0-0 with champions TNS last weekend ,but did suffer an away defeat midweek and have not had any decent results recently.
Rhyl have been playing well and have not lost in April. They are in the final of the Welsh Cup next week so doubtful players may be rested ,but it is difficult to forsee what Rhyl's manager Hulse will do with team selection .I know he does not like using subs unless players are injured to retain the "shape of the team".

This would have been difficult match to predict midseason , it is even more difficult in the final league match .Draw looks likely.

Cefn - Haverfordwest

Cefn safety was guaranteed last Saturday when they cameback from being 0-1 down to beating Cwmbran 2-1 after a poor run of results.
Haverfordwest have not had a good end to the season with no wins in April.
Both sides lost 1-0 to the average Caersws within a few days

Welsh Premier League champions Total Network Solutions FC are holding an internet auction to find a new sponsor.
The Llansantffraid-based club have been looking for a sponsor to buy the club's name for next season since TNS was acquired by British Telecom in October.
The club attracted extensive coverage last season when they played Liverpool in a Champions League qualifier.
"We know the sky is the limit for any new sponsor," said TNS FC general manager Ian Williams.
"The great thing about eBay is it allows every company out there access to purchase such a powerful branding tool and reap the same rewards TNS has seen over the years.
"The club has a great success story."
TNS FC won the Welsh Premier title for the second successive season two weeks ago, guaranteeing their place in the Champions League qualifiers for another season.
BT to 'expand' TNS after buy-out
TNS founder Mike Harris said his company had benefited immeasurably from sponsoring the club since 1997.
"This is a fantastic opportunity for a company to raise their profile, increase brand recognition and gain market share in the chosen sector," said Harris.
"It worked like a charm for me."
