Gillingham- Decent home from at home to the bottom of the table team
Luton - evans with there home record is a steal allways back them to win at home they rarely let me down
Leyton - Should be to strong for struggling cheltningham

Re: Coca-Cola League One 07-08th Dec

agree stonecold but i would also throw in a couple of aways in this division.

Carlisle away to Northampton should do OK. Northampton are a bit of a hit or miss at home with 4-1-4 and Carlisle are doing ok on the road 3-4-2. Looking at the latest results you'll see Carlisle have slipped up of late but if you look closer these games have been Cup ties which states to me that the league is their priority and if you ignore these cup games then their form is OK and merit an away win this weekend.

Couple of Carlisle fans on here so hopefully they'll add some 'local' knowledge.

Swansea away to Bristol Rovers looks like a likely away win to me but slightly unsure cause Rovers home tie midweek was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Quite like the look of Brighton at Home tonight, Forest dont travel too well and Brightons home form has been quite good, not sure of hanidcap odds but Brighton seem good value for a home win

I think this could be a cracker of a game cause both teams seem to be playing decent football - I thought great as its the only game on Friday night surely it will be on Sky but alas

I cant decide what to do so im thinking of just leaving alone, this game could go either way, Forest have not lost two on the bounce this season and from what i have read Walsall was just a blip. Before that they were in good form, and coupled with brightons good form this looks like ending up a draw imo.

Aha! Technically they have! As they have lost the last two away games. But here is my full analysis:
Brighton v Nottm Forest
Nottingham Forest are flying high in a play-off position in League One, and have only lost two of their last ten games. The 1-0 loss to Wallsall last week stopped them moving into second position and they will be keen to make amends for that slip-up. That was their second away loss in a row after six undefeated. Now they have another difficult one and are expected to make a few changes to get back on track. Other than the long-term hamstring problem to Julian Bennet., Colin Calderwood has a full squad and may recall the ex-Celtic Neil Lennon back to midfield and either Holt or Agogo may be brought in to help in attack.
Brighton are only three points behind them with just the one loss (to Leeds) in their last ten matches. The only reason they aren’t higher is that they have now drawn four in a row but have proved extremely hard to beat. They kept Doncaster out in a dire 0-0 draw on Tuesday night where there was only one shot on goal in the whole match. George O’Callaghan is still banned (third of three) and French midfielder David Martot will probably miss the game as he has a virus, but otherwise Dean Wilkins has no injury problems and will probably play the same defensive diamond formation again to keep Forest out, and hopefully nick a goal on the break. I am certain that Brighton intend to keep their unbeaten record as long as possible to stay with the leaders and will lay the away team at 2.66 with betfair and have a small bet on a straight draw.

fancy southend and gillingham given swindons and port vales problems.
swindon had another man sent off during the match at carlisle midweek which means three suspended and injury problems as well on top of loads of travelling from one end of the country to the other, managerless as well arent they? southend meanwhile havent had any travellng to do and won 4-1 midweek.price looks pretty nice

Re: Coca-Cola League One 07-08th Dec

Don't normally like backing my own team, but I'm also on Gillingham for today. Results have been improving since Mark Stimson came in, and we actually won away on Tuesday for the first time since April (scoring as many goals in that game as we had in our 8 away games all season up until then). Our home form has always been decent enough anyway, only one defeat all season and that was on the opening day, since then we're on a run of 5-3-0. Port Vale with just 1 point from their last 6 away games.

Also worth noting that as we had no game last weekend due to being out of the FA Cup, Stimson decided to use the 10 days without a game as a mini pre-season, building up the players' fitness levels, which according to him were very poor. Whether or not that had anything to do with our win at Crewe I don't know, but Stimson's certainly making an impact.

According to the Gillingham official site, neither side have any new injury problems.

Gillingham v Port Vale @ 1.89 (taken a couple of days ago, not sure that's still around now) 4pts
