Re: 8th Mar: The People's Friend Scottish 1-2-3 Thread

Im away to bed. all this 'i'll bloody show you' posting again is tiring stuff. For anyone thats missed it a few more folks have taken the hump with me. Suffice to say that i have gave up what i have been doing for the past year (the front page etc) and im going to spend my time just posting again. Seems like since i stopped posting last march people have found me easy to fall out with. I'll just get back to doing what i do best and thats posting on forums. Heh i might even take up gambling again. Just poker poker poker with me. actually thats a year i have been playing too. I wonder if thats got much to do with it all. Anyhow i will crack on by having a look at this weekends scottish coupon.

Hamilton should prevail at home to Morton but anyone that knows the real me will tell you i over rate Morton every week. I aint interested at the price. Im alwasy keen on Hamilton ht/ft at home and could be talked into that if theyre playing well enough.

Im pretty sure Livi have had the better of the encounters with Clyde this season and to me livi are still bubbling away nicely. Clyde will be needing the points themselves but i ...bah how could you back a team like livi thats forgotten how to score? they havent scored much lately have they? I aint looking at stats or owt but im sure from reports theyve been struggling in that dept.

Stilring v Dunfermline i would have to put down as a draw you know i dont like Dunfermline. I wouldnt be suprised if theyre on a few folks lines this week and i suppose i wouldnt be suprised if they won. Not a game for me though.

You would have to be mental to be interested in Raith this week but hey! whadday yah know! 9/5 with bet365. Fcuk if they had played their last 5 games like they did the 5 before that then they would be 5/4. I would ay there should be value in that 9/5 whatever. If the win at home to Cowdenbeath spells a return to their best form then that 9/5 would be very nice. Need to look at it more as there is lots of reasons Raith are as high as 9/5.

Ross and Brechin meet up again. Ross were worthy winner a few weeks ago. I aint so sure that Brechin should be as high as 4/1 with Bluesq though.

Airdrie have had Ayr in their pocket this season havent they? Not one for me to get involved in i think.

Berwick v Aloa is a horrible game. Be interested in the games between them this season mind.

Im always saying i could take Cowdenbeath if they have a few players back. I dont think i'll bother saying it this week. I couldnt split these 2. Maybe Queens are due a win.

In div three i would only be interested in Montrose. Theyve saved some of their better performances for East Stilring this season i believe. Stranraer Arbroath reports would be worth a look.

Re: 8th Mar: The People's Friend Scottish 1-2-3 Thread

Them div one threads aint much kop Stirling seem to have competed well v Dunfemline mind. Raith are a shadow of the team it seems from the one in the 2-2 draw last time. I still fancy them to get their play-off place back in order. Aye im chancing them to bounce back to form and im gonna go have a look at them more before taking some iof the 9/5 on them at bet365

Raith have never conceded a goal at Peterhead. that might not mean much but its certainly no negative. You can't be too positive about Raith's form though can you Fan Talk :: View topic - cowdenbeath

Aye it's tough and its almost madness as i say. the price still looks to good to me and im gonna take a chance on Raith getting themselves together. Nah i dont know. the draw would probably do them and i dont want to tyake a chance on a team finding form. Need to look more at it

Re: 8th Mar: The People's Friend Scottish 1-2-3 Thread

agreed, montrose looks the only likely option in div three this weekend, east stirling is really doing badly, losing quite a number of matches lately...

elsewhere, hamilton will do as well...morton won their last match, so no worries about new manager jinx

Re: 8th Mar: The People's Friend Scottish 1-2-3 Thread

Bloody hell Vach i forgot about scots 1-2-3 this week. Thanks for reminding me of montrose. I believe East stirling were pretty handy v Stranraer the other night Vach and shouldnt be understimated in this one. I like te montrose performnces v them this season though and im still leaning towards taking them. I'l go get some odds and see if it still appeals...

Montrose 8/15 with Bet365. 2/5 elsewhere. Sounds ok. Nothing more to me still. as i mentioned elsewhere its in the realm of me not being able to trust a team at low odds. If things are positive from Montrose then on previopus performnces this season im sure Montrose would be worth a bet although its not getting me excited.

Alloa 5/6 William Hill. Berwick aint improving any and i havent checked the table but im sure alloa will be needing the win for any libngering hope of a play off place. Maybe too late for them. Need to read reports this season but to me alloa will be better then the last 2 between the two (one abandoned) and Berwick could well be worse. alloa to me could be capable of putting up a more solid performance than ayr last week. again though it sounds just like an ok bet. Nothing to lose a night out on.

Div 2 looks really interesting this week. If the homeworks done there could be some good bets. I actually quite like all the aways. I wouldnt back them all least of all ayr but all worth looking into. Livi best priced at 18/19 slightly appeals but theyre hardly scoring much and clyde can be stuffy. Actually this is one of them games that all that goes out the window and livi cvould win 6-0. Aye i will look more at livi and clyde

Re: 8th Mar: The People's Friend Scottish 1-2-3 Thread

im away for a lie down but im reading htat Cowdenbeath striker Dempster could be back for saturday. that could make a differance. Also this from a Berwick fan on p&b-

Quote:
With our recent improvement following the poor run its certainly possible. Only concern is that we have injuries to strikers (Brown and Ferguson) and playmaker Dougie Wilson. Townsley also missing from defence.

Re: 8th Mar: The People's Friend Scottish 1-2-3 Thread

Not much enouraging news coming out of Clyde
Clyde FC Official Website

not many positives going into tomorrow's game. might as well read the reports while im here

In one of the most impressive performances from any team at Broadwood this season, Livi almost grabbed another,

Clyde had not registered a shot in the first 40 minutes, such had been Livi's quality in possession, but perhaps the visitor's were content with just the one goal or Clyde recognised that they were indeed fortunate still to be in the game as half time approached

Clyde would go on to dominate the second half, extremely surprising considering the superiority Livingston demonstrated for large periods of the first half

Clyde FC Official Website

Livingston threated to run riot after this and only some inspired goalkeeping by Hutton kept the score down.
Clyde FC Official Website

Only thing stopping me backing Livi is their lack of goals. I better go catch up on them a bit.

Injury worries ease - LiviLions.co.uk
Partick 2 v Livi 1 - Post match comments - LiviLions.co.uk

Aye no cutting edge in Livi. Can i back them to bounce back? I think it would be a mug's bet truth be told. This kind of sums it up to me-

Quote:
no win and no more than 1 goal scored in 6 outings. worrying times. Since Pesir et al left we have really struggled to score. Possession football is one thing but we need to be creating more and scoring more
I could well see Livi having all the possession again and Clyde breaking our hearts. Aye we'll all be thinking that we should have won and the livi fans will be the same and saying the same thing next week. I just dont know about it. Maybe i should look at their home stats. Im sick of looking at stats though. I dont like stats. I'll leave the stats for kompbot.

I suppose i need a good read of this-
The Pie Shop > Livingston Vs. Clyde

I can't see us winning a game at the moment. We've not won since the last meeting with Livi bar one fluke result at Morton and I fancy the scoreline to be in Livi's favour on Saturday.....

On last night's evidence Livi will tear Clyde apart. Whether they have the goals in them to actually win the match is another matter altogether......

Lots to think about but truth be told it should just be a no brainer no bet to me or else worse than that a no brain back Livi and hope they start scoring. you can't do that can you? Unders would have to e consideed. sod it let e see it in betbase form.

Right it looks Livi havent been winning. I knew that but good to see it spelt out to me. Them last 3 away games doesnt read all bad and im pretty sure they were the better team v Dundee. McPake was expected to be out last week but he played i note. Aye sod it im for Livi to bounce back, infact they aint bouncing back they just havent been away. I better go reread the reports though to confirm this. There's a differance in not taking your chances and just not creating them.

Re: 8th Mar: The People's Friend Scottish 1-2-3 Thread

Interestingly sportingbet have a 'Both Teams To Score' market fort all the Scot's games. From looking down the list the only one i would consider would be the Stenhousemuir and elgin game which is 1/2 for both teams to score. The Stirling/Dunfermline game too possibly at 3/5. Maybe i need to branch out. Maybe i need to get some money in my betting accounts. Prob there is that for some reason my broadband bill bounced last week and i got charged £35 by the bank. Im well over drawn by my standards. Ah well at least i have court and bad circulation to look forward to.

Livi havent won in 6 but ive never seen that seems to have played so well in them games if those reports are to be believed. Ill go get the other teams reports. Also im now thinking that this could be a game that Livi need to win. I havent looked at the table but im sure that it will be a 6 pointer of sorts. With all this positive stuff happening im still expecting Clyde to shite on the my Livi bet

Hammill could be back too for Livi which could be another +

Livingston have yet to beat Thistle this season and it was the white clad visitors who looked as if they meant business as they set about trying to change that run of results. Thistle didn’t play badly at all, but Livingston had the bulk of possession, showed plenty of movement and passed the ball about with purpose throughout the first half.

some good audio here-http://www.dafc.net/index2.php?ID=2379&CATEGORY2=3-Audio+Interviews

I suppose it was never gonna be an easy game for Livi.

Accies seemed to retreat into their shell a bit after this and for long spells it was the visitors who simply played the better football.

Accies were probably a shade fortunate to be ahead at the interval

This was a hard fought game against a good Livingston side that has provided Accies with their toughest opposition at New Douglas Park
Hamilton Accies FC - Accies 3 Livingston 1

well they seemed able enough in them away games. Lets see them in that Dundee game.
Dundee FC Online

Maybe i better read more than that. Sounds like the fella writing it never even saw livingston on the park

anyhow ive went far enough back for me to hope for good team news and take Livingston at a price that i think is probably about right given Clyde's ability to upset and Livi's lack of goals.
